  1. 1. Managing the Complexity in Embedded and Cyber-Physical System Design : System Modeling and Design-Space Exploration

    Författare :Seyed Hosein Attarzadeh Niaki; Ingo Sander; Christian Haubelt; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : To cope with the increasing complexity of embedded and cyber-physical system design, different system-level design approaches are proposed which start from abstract models and implement them using design flows with high degrees of automation. However, creating models of such systems and also formulating the mathematical problems arising in these design flows are themselves challenging tasks. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Data management improvements in the electrical grid : a pathway to a smarter cyber-physical system

    Författare :Sylvie Evelyne Koziel; Patrik Hilber; Ebrahim Shayesteh; Per Westerlund; Mathaios Panteli; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; asset management; data management; data analytics; distribution; grid operation and planning; machine learning; cyberinfrastructure upgrade; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The current power system is a network of electrical components forming a physical system. It is experiencing changes, such as the deployment of electric vehicles and distributed energy sources. Meanwhile, cybernetworks are becoming coupled into the physical grid to an increasing degree. 3. 3. Applied Machine Learning in District Heating System

    Författare :Samuel O. Idowu; Christer Åhlund; Saguna Saguna; Olov Schelén; Fredrik Sandin; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Pervasive Mobile Computing; Distribuerade datorsystem;

    Sammanfattning : In an increasingly applied domain of pervasive computing, sensing devices are being deployed progressively for data acquisition from various systems through the use of technologies such as wireless sensor networks. Data obtained from such systems are used analytically to advance or improve system performance or efficiency. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Toward Privacy-Preserving Decentralised Systems

    Författare :Guillermo Rodríguez-Cano; Sonja Buchegger; Johan Boye; Matteo Magnani; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; decentralised information systems; distributed systems; privacy; social networks; decentraliserade informationssystem; distribuerade system; integritet; sociala nätverk; sistemas de información descentralizados; sistemas distribuidos; privacidad; redes sociales; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : Privacy enhancing technologies have proven to be a beneficial area of research lessening the threats users' privacy in centralised systems such as online social networks. Decentralised solutions have been proposed to extend the control that users have over their data as opposed to the centralised massive collection of personal and sensitive data. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Design of Assured and Efficient Safety-critical Systems

    Författare :Nesredin Mahmud; Cristina Seceleanu; Guillermo Rodriguez-Navas; Joost-Pieter Katoen; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; embedded systems design; safety critical systems; real time systems; formal method; optimization; model checking; Simulink; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Safety-critical   systems   need   to   be   analyzed rigorously to remove software/specifications errors, that is, their requirements specifications should be unambiguous, comprehensible and consistent, and the software design should conform to the specifications, hence avoiding undesirable system failures. Currently, there is a lack of effective and scalable methods to specify and analyze requirements, and formally analyze the behavioral models of embedded systems. LÄS MER
