  1. 1. Evaluation of a Miniaturized Rotating Disk Apparatus for In Vitro Dissolution Rate Measurements in Aqueous Media : Correlation of In Vitro Dissolution Rate with Apparent Solubility

    Författare :Anita M. Persson; Curt Pettersson; Anders Sokolowski; Anders Karlsson; Alex Avdeef; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; analytical methods; HPLC high-performance liquid chromatography ; miniaturization; in vitro dissolution rate; apparent solubility; physicochemical properties; dissolution media; correlation study; chemometrics; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Farmaceutisk kemi; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Analytisk farmaceutisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The general aim of this thesis was to evaluate a newly designed and constructed miniaturized rotating disk apparatus for in vitro dissolution rate measurements of different drug substances from all of the classes in the Biopharmaceutical Classification System (BCS). The new equipment is based on a low volume flow-through cell of Plexiglas, a gold plated magnetic bar and a special designed press. LÄS MER

  2. 2. X-ray microtomography and digital volume correlation for internal deformation and strain analysis

    Författare :Fredrik Forsberg; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Experimentell mekanik; Experimental Mechanics;

    Sammanfattning : A material that is exposed to mechanical load or experience a variation in its immediate environment (temperature, pressure, humidity etc.) will to some extent be affected by these new conditions, which is reflected through structural movements in the material. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Compression perpendicular to the grain (CPG) of wood is a typical loading situation in timber structures. It has been an extensively studied research topic for decades, due to the highly ductile behavior of wood under such loading, the large variations in mechanical properties, and the relevance of these properties in structural design. 4. 4. Mechanical analyses of trabecular bone and its interaction with implants

    Författare :Dan Wu; Cecilia Persson; Hanna Isaksson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Trabecular bone; Elastic modulus; Digital volume correlation; Pullout resistance; Micro-computed tomography.;

    Sammanfattning : Bone substitute materials or implants are commonly used in the surgical treatment of bone fractures. However, severe complications are sometimes reported. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Novel Approaches for Application of Principal Component Analysis on Dynamic PET Images for Improvement of Image Quality and Clinical Diagnosis

    Författare :Pasha Razifar; Ewert Bengtsson; Mats Bergström; Harald Schneider; Habib Zaidi; Uppsala universitet; []
