  1. 1. Humanizing Technology Through Post-Digital Art

    Författare :Vygandas Vegas Simbelis; Kristina Höök; John Bowers; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Humanization of technology; post-digital aesthetics; abstraction; materiality; immateriality; interpretative digitality; hacking; disruption; accelerationism; interactive art; interaction design; human-computer interaction.; Art; Technology and Design; Konst; teknik och design; Människa-datorinteraktion; Human-computer Interaction; Media Technology; Medieteknik; Computer Science; Datalogi; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : I draw upon the idea of the post digital to create (1) art for humanization of technology and (2) art as manifestations of digital qualities in the physical world, e.g., through digital-analog convergence, or through enriching our experiences with hybrid constellations of techniques, concepts and aesthetics. 2. 2. On Reinforcement Learning and Digital Twins for Intelligent Automation

    Författare :Constantin Cronrath; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Digital Twins; Intelligent Automation; Reinforcement Learning; manufacturing;

    Sammanfattning : Current trends, such as the fourth industrial revolution and sustainable manufacturing, enable and necessitate manufacturing automation to become more intelligent to meet ever new design requirements in terms of flexibility, speed, quality, and cost. Two distinct research streams towards intelligent manufacturing exist in the scientific literature: the model-based digital twin approach and the data-driven learning approach. LÄS MER

  3. 3. How can I help you? : The delivery of e-government services by means of a digital assistant

    Författare :Matthew M. Raoufi; Olov Forsgren; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Informatics; computer and systems science; Digital assistant; E-government; E-services; Embodied Conversational Agent; Accessibility; Informatik; data- och systemvetenskap; Informatics; computer and systems science; Informatik; data- och systemvetenskap; computer and systems sciences; data- och systemvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on the delivery of government services to citizens with a particula r emphasis on enabling those who are at risk of exclusion from the digital society to gain access to it. Following in this direction, one of the frequently addressed issues concerning the accessibility of e-services and information in government websites is found to be the users’ unawareness concerning the location of the desired information or service. 4. 4. How precise is cyclic life? : Insights during a single molecule revolution of the bacterial cell cycle

    Författare :Mats Walldén; Johan Elf; Peter Graumann; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; E.coli; cell cycle; replication initiation; transcription factor; gene-regulation; single molecule microscopy; microfluidics; Biology with specialization in Molecular Biotechnology; Biologi med inriktning mot molekylär bioteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Bacterial cells reproduce by doubling in size and dividing. The molecular control systems which regulate the cell cycle must do so in a manner which maintains a similar cell size over many generations. A cell can under conditions of fast growth conclude cell cycles in shorter time than the time required to replicate its chromosome. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Increasing the Value of Data in Production Systems

    Författare :Maja Bärring; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Industry 4.0; digitalization; data; Digital technologies; decision support; manufacturing; Smart Manufacturing;

    Sammanfattning : A digital transformation is taking place, where information is available about almost anything, changing how work is performed and anticipated. More digitized information enabled by the digital technologies is supporting businesses to measure more about their processes and thereby also to know more. LÄS MER
