  1. 1. Diffuse Optical Spectroscopy and Imaging of Turbid Media

    Författare :Can Xu; Atomfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; upconverting nanoparticles; luminescence; fluorescence; inverse problem; diffuse reflection spectroscopy; biomedical optics; photon migration; biomedical imaging; gas spectroscopy; medical diagnostics; tomography; Fysicumarkivet A:2013:Xu;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with optical spectroscopy and imaging of complex and strongly scattering turbid media. Focus is mainly placed on three topics, being i) diffuse optical spectroscopy of choroidal tumors, ii) gas spectroscopy in scattering materials using the GASMAS (gas in scattering media absorption spectroscopy) technique, and iii) luminescence diffuse optical imaging and tomography of tissues. 2. 2. Optical spectroscopy and fluorescence imaging for cancer diagnostics

    Författare :Pontus Svenmarker; Atomfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Biomedical optics; Diffuse-reflection spectroscopy; Upconverting nanoparticles; Inverse problem; Fluorescence; Tomography; Imaging; Scattering media; Photon migration; Fysicumarkivet A:2012:Svenmarker;

    Sammanfattning : This work presents optical methods for diagnosing cancer. A complementary method for diagnosing eye cancer was investigated using a technique developed within this work named transscleral optical spectroscopy (TOS). LÄS MER

  3. 3. Lean NOx reduction over silver-alumina catalysts - Aspects on synthesis, structure and activity

    Författare :Hannes Kannisto; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; freeze-drying; HC-SCR; DRIFTS.; aromatic hydrocarbons; silver-alumina; Lean NOx reduction; selective catalytic reduction; sol-gel; characterization; catalyst preparation; kinetic modeling;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to increase the understanding of how to design highly active silver-alumina catalysts for selective catalytic reduction of NOx with hydrocarbons (HC-SCR) in oxygen excess at low temperatures (150-250 °C). Silver-alumina catalysts have been prepared using different methods, including a new unique preparation method developed during the thesis project. LÄS MER
