16. Photon migration in tissue : laser induced fluorescence for cancer diagnostics and influence of optical properties on microvascular Doppler spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : Laser induced flourescence (LIF) is an "optical biopsy" method, based on the selective accumulation of fluorophores in neoplastic tissue. Two recently developed, non-photosensitizing tumor seeking carotenoporphyrins were assessed regarding tumor selectivity, and biodistribution, in experimental animals. LÄS MER
17. Nitrous Oxide Formation over Zeolite-based Catalysts during Ammonia-SCR: The Effect of Framework Structure, Acidity, and Copper Content
Sammanfattning : The emission control of anthropogenic nitrous oxide (N2O), a by-product formed through fossil- and renewable fuel combustion, agricultural activities, and industrial chemical processes, has attracted large considerations due to its substantial contribution in global warming and ozone layer depletion. Selective catalytic reduction with ammonia (NH3-SCR) is the most prevailing technology for the abatement of nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the exhaust gases from lean-burn processes, with the possible formation of N2O. 18. Bonadsmåleri under lupp: Spektroskopiska analyser av färg och teknik i sydsvenska bonadsmålningar 1700-1870
Sammanfattning : The objects of this PhD thesis are Southern Swedish painted wall-hangings: folk art paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries. The aim and objective of the study are: to investigate the construction and manufacturing processes of the painted wall-hangings; to identify both the painting materials and other substances employed; and, to document painting techniques used by different painters within this painted wall-hanging tradition. 19. Biochemical and spectral characterization of micro- and macroalgae
Sammanfattning : Algae contain many compounds which are of interest to the pharmaceutical, agricultural and food industries, among others. Despite the potential for many applications, a quick, accurate and inexpensive method for characterising algae is lacking. LÄS MER
20. A spectroscopic study of mechanically activated sulphide minerals
Sammanfattning : Sulphide minerals are a major source of non-ferrous metals such as lead, zinc or copper. Ores are processed to be selectively separated which can be achieved by flotation. LÄS MER
