    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this study is to examine a corpus of novels taking place in Tierra del Fuego with the Indians and the British as subjects and to perform a comparative analysis of the representation of identity, understood as difference (Grimson, 2000) and shared experience (Grimson, 2003).The corpus consists of Fuegia by Eduardo Belgrano Rawson, 1991; El fueguino: Jemmy Button y los suyos by Arnoldo Canclini, 1998; La tierra del fuego by Sylvia Iparraguirre, 1998; Inglaterra, una fábula by Leopoldo Brizuela, 1999, and El silencio de Darwin by Gustavo Daniel Perednik, 2006.     Sammanfattning : This dissertation studies the problem of the inhuman in relation to human nature in philosophy from antiquity to the present, highlighting the interrelationship between science and philosophy in the development of concepts of monstrosity in France from mid-sixteenth century to late twentieth century thought. By means of constraint, it focuses on Ambroise Paré (1509/10–90) and Gilles Deleuze (1925–95) as representatives of early humanism and posthumanism, respectively. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the problems of social violence which are based on stereotyped prejudices, and directed towards people who differ from the norm, and asks how education aiming at counteracting social violence can be understood. Within education, the aspiration to contest social violence is generally motivated by a democratic framework stressing distributive justice and everyone’s equal value. LÄS MER
