  1. 6. Neurocognitive and endocrine dysfunction in women with exhaustion syndrome

    Författare :Agneta Sandström; Tommy Olsson; Lars Nyberg; Marie Åsberg; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cognition; attention; working memory; exhaustion syndrome; major depression; cortisol; HPA-axis; proinflammatory cytokines; psychology; neurocognitive; endocrine; fMRI; MRI; prefrontal cortex; multivariate; women; personality; TCI; stress; Public health medicine research areas; Folkhälsomedicinska forskningsområden; Diagnostic radiology; Diagnostisk radiologi; medicin; Medicine; diagnostisk radiologi; Diagnostic Radiology;

    Sammanfattning : Stress has emerged as one of the most important factors to consider in psychiatric diagnoses and has become a common reason for long-term sick leave (LTSL). Roughly 50% of LTSL due to psychiatric diseases are thought to be associated with work-related stress. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Nuclear magnetic resonance and microcirculation: The influence of pulsatile brain-tissue motion on measurements of intravoxel incoherent motion and assessment of haemodynamics using exo- and endogenous tracers

    Författare :Ronnie Wirestam; Lund Medicinsk strålningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; diagnostic radiology; cortical activation; diffusion; tumor; tumour; ischemic stroke; ischaemic stroke; tracer kinetics; bolus tracking; phase mapping; brain motion; intracranial dynamics; blood flow; haemodynamics; vascularity; MRS; perfusion; MRI; magnetic resonance; Clinical physics; radiology; tomography; medical instrumentation; Klinisk fysiologi; radiologi; tomografi; medicinsk instrumentering;

    Sammanfattning : In this project, the potential of magnetic resonance (MR) imaging and spectroscopy in studies of microcirculation and haemodynamics was evaluated. The spatial and temporal characteristics of human pulsatile brain-tissue movements in healthy individuals, relevant for the understanding of the cerebrospinal-fluid (CSF) circulation and the pathogenesis of hydrocephalus, were thoroughly investigated. 3. 8. Quantifying image quality in diagnostic radiology using simulation of the imaging system and model observers

    Författare :Gustaf Ullman; Michael Sandborg; Gudrun Alm Carlsson; Nicolas Pallikarakis; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; radiology; radiation physics; image quality; optimisation; effective dose; chest radiography; Radiological physics; Radiofysik;

    Sammanfattning : Accurate measures of both clinical image quality and patient radiation risk are needed for successful optimisation of medical imaging with ionising radiation. Optimisation in diagnostic radiology means finding the image acquisition technique that maximises the perceived information content and minimises the radiation risk or keeps it at a reasonably low level. 4. 9. Evaluation of MRI as a diagnostic method in biliary tract conditions

    Författare :Katarina Håkansson; Avdelningen för klinisk kemi och farmakologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Klinisk fysiologi; radiologi; tomografi; medicinsk instrumentering; medical instrumentation; tomography; radiology; Clinical physics; T2; T1; Relaxation rate; Gallbladder bile; Acute cholangitis; Biliary duct injury; Biliary duct disease; Cholecystectomy; Bile duct; Acute cholecystitis; ERCP; Ultrasound; MRI; MRCP;

    Sammanfattning : The diagnostic value of modern fast pulse sequences and breath-hold technique was evaluated in a prospective study of patients with suspected biliary diseases. The cost-effectiveness of MRI compared to ultrasound was calculated. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Human brain function evaluated with rCBF-SPECT : memory and pain related changes and new diagnostic possibilities in Alzheimer’s disease
