  1. 1. Management control and strategy : a case study of pharmaceutical drug development

    Författare :Fredrika Berglund; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Management control systems; Tight control; Loose control; Interactive control; Diagnostic control; Budget; Portfolio management; Project management; Goals and Objectives systems; Business strategy; Research Development; Pharmaceutical; Computer science; Datavetenskap; Economic Information Systems; Ekonomiska informationssystem;

    Sammanfattning : How are formal management controls designed and used in research & development (R&D)? The purpose of this study is to explain how such systems are designed and used in formulating and implementing strategies in a pharmaceutical product development organisation. The study uses a contingency approach to investigate how the control system is adjusted to the business strategy of the firm. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Daily living and coping strategies in insulin-dependent diabetics : diagnostic reasoning in nursing

    Författare :Berit Lundman; Astrid Norberg; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Insulin-dependent diabetes; metabolic control; daily living; coping strategies; attitudes; tedium; smoking habits; menstruation; nursing; diagnostic reasoning in nursing;

    Sammanfattning : Within a defined geographical area, all patients, 192 in total, with insulin- dependent diabetes of at least 2 years' duration and free from long-term diabetic complications were identified. Their experiences of the influence of the disease on daily living, tedium, and smoking habits were evaluated using a questionnaire and related to metabolic control. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Digester modelling for diagnostics and control

    Författare :Johan Jansson; Erik Dahlquist; Thore Berntsson; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; pulp production; diagnostics; simulation; control; Cellulose and paper engineering; Cellulosa- och pappersteknik; Energy- and Environmental Engineering; energi- och miljöteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis will show the possibility for the development and use of an on-line model for application to continuous digesters for pulp production. The model is developed by using a program called Dymola (Dynamic Modeling Laboratory). What makes the Dymola software so well suited is that the program solves equations simultaneously. LÄS MER
