  1. 21. Development of the Mouse Lateral Telencephalon

    Författare :Jan Stenman; Institutionen för experimentell medicinsk vetenskap; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; teratologi; embryologi människa ; Utvecklingsbiologi; ontogeny; embryology human ; teratology; Development biology; progenitor domains; striatum; olfactory bulb; amygdala; development; telencephalon; patterning; mouse;

    Sammanfattning : The telencephalon is the most rostral part of the vertebrate central nervous system and is comprised of a number of structures important for voluntary movements and higher cognitive processes. This thesis focuses on the genetic mechanisms that control development of a number of telencephalic structures: the olfactory bulb, the striatum as well as the lateral and basolateral nuclei of the amygdala. 2. 22. Development Intervention on the Ground. Inherent rationales of aid and their encounter with local dynamics in three Cambodian villages

    Författare :Malin Hasselskog; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; development intervention; development aid; development cooperation; local development; local dynamics; local governance interplay; Cambodia;

    Sammanfattning : The study is motivated by the maintained needs to scrutinise and critically reflect upon interventionist rationales in development assistance, to put development intervention in perspective by regarding it as part of the context where it is implemented, and to bring these two perspectives together. The starting point is an indication of a common mismatch between what is intended when aid is formulated and what happens when it is implemented. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Indicators in Action : Development, Use and Consequences

    Sammanfattning : The increased attention to performance measurements is evident in both private and public sector organizations and among both academics and practitioners. Although there is a strong belief in the possibilities of using measurements for managing organizations, both academics and practitioners have questioned measurements potential. LÄS MER
