  1. 1. On seeing : in fashion design

    Författare :Stefanie Malmgren De Oliveira; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; seeing; fashion design process; image; dress; visual language; Textiles and Fashion Design ; Textil och mode konstnärlig ;

    Sammanfattning : In fashion design, the designer strives for the development of ideas in view of significant visual goals. The process of specifying and developing ideas is a highly visual process. LÄS MER

  2. 2. The meaning(s) of inclusion in mathematics in student talk : Inclusion as a topic when students talk about learning and teaching in mathematics

    Författare :Helena Roos; Despina Potari; Hanna Palmér; Nùria Planas; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; inclusion in mathematics; discourse analysis; students meaning s ; Matematikens didaktik; Mathematics education; Mathematical Education;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis contributes to research and practice within the field of special education in mathematics with more knowledge about, and an understanding of, students´ meaning(s) of inclusion in mathematics education. Three research questions guide the study: What meaning(s) is/are ascribed, and how is inclusion used, in mathematics education research? What meaning(s) do the students ascribe to inclusion in mathematics learning and teaching? And what frames students´ meaning(s) of inclusion in mathematics learning and teaching?The first part of this study began with a systematic literature review on the notion of inclusion in mathematics education research, and the search resulted in 1,296 research studies. 3. 3. The Search for Syntax : Investigating the Syntactic Knowledge of Neural Language Models Through the Lens of Dependency Parsing

    Författare :Artur Kulmizev; Joakim Nivre; Roger Levy; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; syntax; language models; dependency parsing; universal dependencies; Datorlingvistik; Computational Linguistics;

    Sammanfattning : Syntax — the study of the hierarchical structure of language — has long featured as a prominent research topic in the field of natural language processing (NLP). Traditionally, its role in NLP was confined towards developing parsers: supervised algorithms tasked with predicting the structure of utterances (often for use in downstream applications). LÄS MER

  4. 4. From Disorder to Order : Extracting clinical findings from unstructured text

    Författare :Maria Skeppstedt; Hercules Dalianis; Gunnar Nilsson; Beáta Megyesi; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Text mining; named entity recognition; clinical language processing; Computer and Systems Sciences; data- och systemvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Medical disorders and findings are examples of important information in health record text. Through developing methods for automatically extracting these entities from the health record text, the possibility of making use of the information by automatic computerised processes increases. 5. 5. Quantifying Process Quality : The Role of Effective Organizational Learning in Software Evolution

    Författare :Sebastian Hönel; Morgan Ericsson; Welf Löwe; Anna Wingkvist; Miroslaw Staron; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Software Size; Software Metrics; Commit Classification; Maintenance Activities; Software Quality; Process Quality; Project Management; Organizational Learning; Machine Learning; Visualization; Optimization; Software Technology; Programvaruteknik; Informations- och programvisualisering; Information and software visualization; Computer Science; Datavetenskap; Statistics Econometrics; Statistik;

    Sammanfattning : Real-world software applications must constantly evolve to remain relevant. This evolution occurs when developing new applications or adapting existing ones to meet new requirements, make corrections, or incorporate future functionality. LÄS MER
