  1. 11. Performance anomaly detection and resolution for autonomous clouds

    Författare :Olumuyiwa Ibidunmoye; Erik Elmroth; Ewnetu Bayuh Lakew; Rolf Stadler; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Cloud Computing; Distributed Systems; Performance Management; Anomaly Detection; Quality of Service; Performance Analytics; Machine Learning; Computer Systems; datorteknik; business data processing; administrativ databehandling; Computer Science; datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : Fundamental properties of cloud computing such as resource sharing and on-demand self-servicing is driving a growing adoption of the cloud for hosting both legacy and new application services. A consequence of this growth is that the increasing scale and complexity of the underlying cloud infrastructure as well as the fluctuating service workloads is inducing performance incidents at a higher frequency than ever before with far-reaching impact on revenue, reliability, and reputation. 2. 12. Pancreatic Cancer - Early Detection, Prognostic Factors, and Treatment

    Författare :Daniel Ansari; Lund Kirurgi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; artificial neural networks; apicidin; centralization; early detection; epigenetics; high definition mass spectrometry; MUC4; pancreatic cancer; pancreaticoduodenectomy; prognostic factors; xenograft model; treatment;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer-related death. Only about 6% of patients are alive 5 years after diagnosis. One reason for this low survival rate is that most patients are diagnosed at a late stage, when the tumor has spread to surrounding tissues or distant organs. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Parking support model for open parking lots

    Författare :Vijay Paidi; Johan Håkansson; Roger G. Nyberg; Hasan Fleyeh; Seifedine Kadry; Högskolan Dalarna; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; parking; deep learning; pollution; cruising; detection; tracking; forecasting;

    Sammanfattning : Parking is a common process performed by vehicle drivers when they arrive at their destination. It is considered to be the last mile transportation problem of personal vehicles. Some of the common problems observed by drivers are additional cruising, congestion, pollution, and driver frustration. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Silicon Nanowires for Biomolecule Detection

    Författare :Niklas Elfström; Jan Linnros; Mark Reed; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Material physics with surface physics; Materialfysik med ytfysik;

    Sammanfattning : Starting from silicon on insulator (SOI) material, with a top silicon layer thickness of 100 nm, silicon nanowires were fabricated in a top down approach using electron beam (e-beam) lithography and subsequent eactive ion etching (RIE) and oxidation. Nanowires as narrow as 30 nm could be achieved. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Physics at the High-Energy Frontier : Phenomenological Studies of Charged Higgs Bosons and Cosmic Neutrino Detection

    Författare :Oscar Stål; Gunnar Ingelman; Johan Rathsman; Jonathan Ellis; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; particle physics; Standard Model; beyond the Standard Model; supersymmetry; Higgs physics; charged Higgs boson; LHC; flavour physics; ultra-high-energy neutrinos; Askaryan effect; radio detection; lunar satellites; Elementary particle physics; Elementarpartikelfysik; högenergifysik; High Energy Physics;

    Sammanfattning : The Standard Model of particle physics successfully describes present collider data. Nevertheless, theoretical and cosmological results call for its extension. A softly broken supersymmetric completion around the TeV scale solves several of the outstanding issues. Supersymmetry requires two Higgs doublets, leading to five physical Higgs states. LÄS MER
