Sammanfattning : This doctoral dissertation analyses the constitutional limitations on application of supranational law (in particular EU- and EEA-law) in German, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian law. The analysis focuses on how constitutional limitations in national law concerning application of supranational law are relevant regarding the allocation of powers between national and supranational authorities, separation/division of powers within national law, protection of fundamental rights and requirements of legality in national constitutional law. Sammanfattning : The present study concerns the siting of Swedish nuclear waste. Four cases are examined: the feasibility studies in Nyköping and Tierp (cases 1 and 2), as well as three public consultation meetings with conservationist and environmental organisations, and two study visits to nuclear facilities in Oskarshamn and Östhammar, which were held during what is called the site-investigation phase (cases 3 and 4).
