    Sammanfattning : The main objective of this thesis work was to gain understanding of the principles of biolubrication, focusing on synergistic effects between biolubricants. To this end surface force and friction measurements were carried out by means of Atomic Force Microscopy, using hydrophilic and hydrophobic model surfaces in salt solutions of high ionic strength (≈ 150 mM) in presence of different biolubricants.     Sammanfattning : Magnifying the nanostructure of wood reveals the features of an extraordinary nanocomposite material. In this nanocomposite, long fibrils of semicrystalline cellulose, with a cross-section in the nanometer range and length up to several micrometers, are embedded in an amorphous matrix made of other polymeric components.     Sammanfattning : This thesis explores the development of parallel treebanks, collections of language data consisting of texts and their translations, with syntactic annotation and alignment, linking words, phrases, and sentences to show translation equivalence. We describe the semi-manual annotation of the SMULTRON parallel treebank, consisting of 1,000 sentences in English, German and Swedish. LÄS MER
