  1. 21. Situation analysis for fighter aircraft combat survivability

    Författare :Tina Erlandsson; Lars Niklasson; Göran Falkman; Silvia Coradeschi; Per-Johan Nordlund; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fighter aircraft; situation analysis; combat survival; decision support; uncertainty; Datalogi; Computer and Systems Science; Teknik;

    Sammanfattning : Fighter pilots operate in environments where an erroneous decision may have fatal consequences. A tactical decision support system (TDSS) could aid the pilots to analyze the situation and make correct decisions. The TDSS can, for instance, highlight important information and suggest suitable actions. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Decision-making strategies of internationalization under challenging times : Lessons from SMEs

    Författare :Luis Oliveira; Martin Johanson; Carin Nordström; Afonso Fleury; Margaret Fletcher; Högskolan Dalarna; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Institutions; business networks; uncertainty; international market performance; internationalization speed;

    Sammanfattning : Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are increasingly important actors of the global market and are particularly exposed to be affected in a scenario marked by an ongoing process of deglobalization and impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Both of these phenomena potentialize the liabilities that firms experience abroad, namely foreignness and outsidership. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Planning in Inhabited Environments : Human-Aware Task Planning and Activity Recognition

    Författare :Marcello Cirillo; Lars Karlsson; Alessandro Saffiotti; Fredricio Pecora; Nau Dana; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Human-aware planning; planning under uncertainty; activity recognition; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP; Information technology; Informationsteknik; Computer science; Datavetenskap; Computer and Systems Science; Data- och systemvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Promised some decades ago by researchers in artificial intelligence and robotics as an imminent breakthrough in our everyday lives, a robotic assistant that could work with us in our home and our workplace is a dream still far from being fulfilled. The work presented in this thesis aims at bringing this future vision a little closer to realization. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Observational Uncertainties in Water-Resources Modelling in Central America : Methods for Uncertainty Estimation and Model Evaluation

    Författare :Ida Westerberg; Sven Halldin; Jan Seibert; Lars-Christer Lundin; Chong-Yu Xu; Deliang Chen; Alberto Montanari; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Central America; Discharge; Flow-duration curve; Fuzzy regression; GLUE; Model evaluation; Non-stationarity; Observational uncertainty; Precipitation; Quality control; Rating curve; Regionalisation; Uncertainty estimation; Ungauged basins; Water resources; Avbördningskurva; Centralamerika; GLUE; icke-stationaritet; kvalitetskontroll; modellutvärdering; nederbörd; observationsosäkerheter; avrinningsområden utan vattenfö-ringsdata; oskarp regression; osäkerhetsuppskattning; regionalisering; varaktighetskurva; vattenföring; vattenresurser; Hydrology; Hydrologi; Hydrology; Hydrologi;

    Sammanfattning : Knowledge about spatial and temporal variability of hydrological processes is central for sustainable water-resources management, and such knowledge is created from observational data. Hydrologic models are necessary for prediction for time periods and areas lacking data, but are affected by observational uncertainties. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Organizing physical flow data : from input-output tables to data warehouses

    Författare :Erik Löfving; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MATHEMATICS; MATEMATIK;

    Sammanfattning : Data on flows of materials and substances through the economy and the environment are collected by many different organizations and play a key role in the science of industrial ecology. In this thesis, a framework is suggested for structuring and organizing such data. LÄS MER
