    Sammanfattning : We are surrounded by data in our daily lives. The rent of our houses, the amount of electricity units consumed, the prices of different products at a supermarket, the daily temperature, our medicine prescriptions, our internet search history are all different forms of data. Data can be used in a wide range of applications. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : In the last several years, the focus of traffic safety research—especially when performed in association with the automotive industry—has shifted from preventing injury during a crash to avoiding the crash altogether or mitigating its effects. Pre-crash safety measures include intelligent safety systems (e.g. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Microwave sensors can be used within medicine as they use non-ionizing radiation, are often low cost, and can be designed for a specific purpose. The application of microwave sensors for diagnostics and monitoring can be improved using appropriate data analysis. The multi-layered structure of the human body makes the measurements on people complex. LÄS MER

  4. 4. The PET sampling puzzle : intelligent data sampling methods for positron emission tomography

    Författare :Klara Leffler; Jun Yu; Ida Häggström; Zhiyong Zhou; Saikat Chatterjee; Umeå universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : Much like a backwards computed Sudoku puzzle, starting from the completed number grid and working ones way down to a partially completed grid without damaging the route back to the full unique solution, this thesis tackles the challenges behind setting up a number puzzle in the context of biomedical imaging. By leveraging sparse signal processing theory, we study the means of practical undersampling of positron emission tomography (PET) measurements, an imaging modality in nuclear medicine that visualises functional processes within the body using radioactive tracers. 5. 5. Active Control of Propeller-Induced Noise in Aircraft : Algorithms & Methods

    Författare :Sven Johansson; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; active control of sound; active noise control; anc; actuator individual normalized filtered-x lms; filtered-x lms algorithm; newton algorithm; complex lms; multireference algorithm; leaky lms; control effort weighting; feedforward control; feedback contro;

    Sammanfattning : In the last decade acoustic noise has become more and more regarded as a problem. In cars, boats, trains and aircraft, low-frequency noise reduces comfort. Lightweight materials and more powerful engines are used in high-speed vehicles, resulting in a general increase in interior noise levels. LÄS MER
