1. Colorimetric and Multispectral Image Acquisition
Sammanfattning : The trichromatic principle of representing color has for a long time been dominating in color imaging. The reason is the trichromatic nature of human color vision, but as the characteristics of typical color imaging devices are different from those of human eyes, there is a need to go beyond the trichromatic approach. 2. From Responsive Interfaces to Honeycomb Membranes by Controlled Radical Polymerisation
Sammanfattning : In this study, surface modification of both organic and inorganic substrates (in terms of cellulose and silica nanoparticles, respectively) has been explored using surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerisation (ATRP). The desire to modify bio-based materials to fit into new application areas and the need for bio-based materials with improved material properties is steadily increasing due to environmental concern. 3. High Resolution Analysis of Halftone Prints : A Colorimetric and Multispectral Study
Sammanfattning : To reproduce color images in print, the continuous tone image is first transformed into a binary halftone image, producing various colors by discrete dots with varying area coverage. In halftone prints on paper, physical and optical dot gains generally occur, making the print look darker than expected, and making the modeling of halftone color reproduction a challenge. LÄS MER
4. Innan forskningen blev radikal : en historiografisk studie av arbetarhistoria och kvinnohistoria
Sammanfattning : This dissertation studies the emergence of Labour History and Women’s History as academic fields of research in Sweden after World War II. The aim is to study the ways in which Labour History and Women’s History were presented in early writings: in research publications, book reviews, and scholarly debates. LÄS MER
5. Firm Dynamics : The Size and Growth Distribution of Firms
Sammanfattning : This thesis is about firm dynamics, and relates to the size and growth-rate distribution of firms. As such, it consists of an introductory and four separate chapters. LÄS MER
