  1. 1. Ergonomics Integration and User Diversity in Product

    Författare :Dan Högberg; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; product design; design ergonomics; design methods; human simulation; human diversity; Manufacturing engineering; Produktionsteknik; Work sciences and ergonomics; Arbetsvetenskap och ergonomi; Teknik; Technology;

    Sammanfattning : Concideration of products' ergonomic qualitys is one important component for  successful product developement. Product designers engaged in the core activity of product developement need methods that support the consideration of ergonomics along with other product requirements. this thesis aims to adress these needs. 2. 2. Simulation-based multi-objective optimization of productivity and worker well-being

    Författare :Aitor Iriondo Pascual; Anna Syberfeldt; Dan Högberg; Erik Brolin; Johan Ölvander; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ergonomics; Productivity; Optimization; Simulation; User Centred Product Design; Användarcentrerad produktdesign; VF-KDO; VF-KDO;

    Sammanfattning : In industry, simulation software is used to simulate production, making it possible to predict events in production, calculate times and plan production, even in the early phases of the production development process. Software known as digital human modelling (DHM) tools can also be used to simulate humans working in production. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Engineering Feelings of Quality

    Författare :Ebru Ayas; Jörgen Eklund; Dan Högberg; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Product experience; Affective engineering; Kansei Engineering; Emotional design; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : There is an increasing emphasis on developing systematical research approaches for design of products that appeal to people’s emotions and values. This thesis proposes methodological developments for investigating people’s subjective emotional needs and values towards quality and explores interactions of related physical design attributes for product design. 4. 4. Anthropometric diversity and consideration of human capabilities : Methods for virtual product and production development

    Författare :Erik Brolin; Roland Örtengren; Dan Högberg; Lars Hanson; John Rasmussen; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ergonomics; Human Factors; Anthropometry; Multi-Dimensional; Diversity; Digital Human Modelling; Simulation; Visualisation; Workplace Design; Product Design; Accommodation; Technology; Teknik; User Centred Product Design; Användarcentrerad produktdesign;

    Sammanfattning : Contemporary product and production development is typically carried out with the support of computer tools where the design of products and workstations are originated and evaluated within virtual environments. Ergonomics addresses factors important to consider in the product and production development process to ensure a good fit between humans and the items being designed. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Managing Interruptions in Manufacturing : Towards a Theoretical Framework for Interruptions in Manufacturing Assembly

    Författare :Ari Kolbeinsson; Dan Högberg; Peter Thorvald; Jessica Lindblom; Steve Summerskill; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Interruptions; Manufacturing; Mobile Devices; Cognition; Technology; Teknik; User Centred Product Design; Användarcentrerad produktdesign;

    Sammanfattning : The effect of interruptions from ICT systems on assembly workers in manufacturing is examined in this thesis, as is how the risks of errors, increases in assembly time, increased cognitive load and resultant stress can be mitigated, as well as ensuring that important new information is acted upon. To these ends, a literature study was conducted, followed by two studies using an experimental approach in an environment that simulated a manufacturing assembly situation, and used tasks designed to be representative of manufacturing assembly tasks.
