  1. 6. Continuum modeling of paperboard for the mechanical response of converting processes

    Författare :Kristofer Robertsson; Hållfasthetslära; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Paperboard; Continuum modeling; Converting processes; FEM simulations; Finite strain theory; Damage modeling; Rate-dependent; Creasing and folding; Out-of-plane experiments;

    Sammanfattning : Paperboard is a thin and lightweight material made of cellulose fibers and it is an important component in packaging material where it provides stiffness and rigidity. The scope of this work is the development of continuum models, and its numerical treatments, for simulating the processes of converting paperboard into packages. LÄS MER

  2. 7. A Study on Sandwich Structures : Development, Mechanical Characterization and Numerical Modeling

    Författare :Samuel Hammarberg; Pär Jonsén; Jörgen Kajberg; Simon Larsson; Dan Zenkert; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ultra-High Strength Steel; UHSS; Sandwich; Micro-sandwich; Hybrix; Modeling; Composite; Hållfasthetslära; Solid Mechanics;

    Sammanfattning : Legislative demands force the automotive industry to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. At the same time, crashworthiness must not be compromised. A ve-hicle’s GHG emissions, such as carbon dioxide, is dependent on its fuel consump-tion. Lowering the vehicle weight, reducing fuel consumption, will therefor reduce emissions. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Fatigue crack growth in fiber metal laminates : experiment and modeling

    Författare :Per Hofslagare; Michel van Tooren; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Fiber Metal Laminates (FML) is a class of materials with highly resistant fatigue behavior, developed primary for the aerospace industry. The laminates are comprised of alternating layers of high strength aluminwn sheet and fiber reinforced polymers. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Non-linear behavior of bio-based composite : characterization and modeling

    Författare :Liva Rozite; Markus Stommel; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Polymera konstruktionsmaterial; Polymeric Composite Materials;

    Sammanfattning : The development and application of bio-based composite materials have been frequently studied. Most of the work is done on quasi-static performance of these materials. However, these composites are highly non-linear therefore there is need for investigation of their viscelastic and viscoplastic behavior. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Computational modelling of machining - Mesh objective ductile damage modelling

    Författare :SENAD RAZANICA; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
