1. Reactions in the System Nitro-cellulose/ Diphenylamine with Special Reference to the Formation of a Stabilizing Product Bonded to Nitro-cellulose
Sammanfattning : The methods HPLC, microcalorimetry and FTIR together with chemometry, provide good analytical tools to follow the degradation of nitro-cellulose.The degradation products formed from diphenylamine (DPA) during storage can be followed with HPLC. FTIR, together with chemometry, also gives the precision needed for safety control of propellants. LÄS MER
2. Extending the Bandwidth of the Doherty Power Amplifier
Sammanfattning : The Doherty power amplifier (DPA) is one of the most popular power amplifier (PA) architectures used to obtain high efficiency for modern communication signals having high peak-to-average power ratios. Its often narrowband performance does, however, make it difficult for the DPA to meet the increasing demands of frequency agility in modern wireless communication systems. LÄS MER
3. Effects of Irradiation and Thermal Ageing on the Nanoscale Chemistry of Steel Welds
Sammanfattning : Structural materials of nuclear power plants degrade during operation due to thermal ageing and irradiation from the reactor core. Effects on the materials are an increase in hardness and tensile strength, and a decrease in ductility and fracture toughness, i. e. embrittlement. LÄS MER
4. Theory and Design of Wideband Doherty Power Amplifiers
Sammanfattning : The Doherty power amplifier (DPA) is one of the most popular power amplifier architectures for obtaining high average efficiency for modern communication signals with high peak-to-average power ratios (PAPR). However, the DPA suffers from often having narrowband performance which limits its capabilities in wideband and/or multi-standard microwave and radio frequency applications. LÄS MER
5. Dinuclear Manganese Complexes for Artificial Photosynthesis : Synthesis and Properties
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the synthesis and characterisation of a series of dinuclear manganese complexes. Their ability to donate electrons to photo-generated ruthenium(III) has been investigated in flash photolysis experiments followed by EPR-spectroscopy. LÄS MER
