  1. 6. Mechanistic Modelling of Drug Dissolution and Matrix Formulations: Rotating Disc Dissolution, Dissolution in a Stagnant Medium, Swelling and Dissolving Matrix Systems

    Författare :Erik Kaunisto; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Rotating Disc; Diffusion; Dissolution; Controlled Release; Hydrophilic matrices; ESPI;

    Sammanfattning : Popular Abstract in Swedish Under årens lopp har människan gjort stora landvinningar inom läkemedelsforskning, vilket har lett fram till avancerade läkemedel som idag tas för givna. Avancerade läkemedel sätter dock höga krav på tillverkarna av läkemedel, vilket har lett till att framtagandet av nya läkemedel är en ganska komplicerad process. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Experimental studies of radiation-induced dissolution of UO2 : The effect of intrinsic solid phase properties and external factors

    Författare :Alexandre Barreiro Fidalgo; Mats Jonsson; David Shoesmith; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Oxidation; dissolution; uranium dioxide; gadolinium; bentonite; sulfide; hydrogen; gamma radiation; radiolysis; hydrogen peroxide; hydroxyl radical; repository; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Dissolution of the UO2 matrix is one of the potential routes for radionuclide release in a future deep geological repository for spent nuclear fuel. This doctoral thesis focuses on interfacial reactions of relevance in radiation-induced dissolution of UO2 and is divided in two parts:In the first part, we sought to explore the effects of solid phase composition:The impact of surface stoichiometry on the reactivity of UO2 towards aqueous radiolytic oxidants was studied. 3. 8. Dissolution of cellulose in aqueous hydroxide base solvents

    Författare :Beatrice Swensson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; aqueous; NaOH; quaternary ammonium hydroxide; solvent; cellulose; dissolution;

    Sammanfattning : As we move towards a circular bioeconomy, new and advanced materials based on cellulose are constantly developed. Unlike most plastics or metals, cellulose cannot be melted, and therefore dissolution is an important tool for processing of cellulose but also for analytical purposes. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Evaluation of a Miniaturized Rotating Disk Apparatus for In Vitro Dissolution Rate Measurements in Aqueous Media : Correlation of In Vitro Dissolution Rate with Apparent Solubility

    Författare :Anita M. Persson; Curt Pettersson; Anders Sokolowski; Anders Karlsson; Alex Avdeef; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; analytical methods; HPLC high-performance liquid chromatography ; miniaturization; in vitro dissolution rate; apparent solubility; physicochemical properties; dissolution media; correlation study; chemometrics; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Farmaceutisk kemi; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Analytisk farmaceutisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The general aim of this thesis was to evaluate a newly designed and constructed miniaturized rotating disk apparatus for in vitro dissolution rate measurements of different drug substances from all of the classes in the Biopharmaceutical Classification System (BCS). The new equipment is based on a low volume flow-through cell of Plexiglas, a gold plated magnetic bar and a special designed press. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Klostren och reformationen. Upplösningen av kloster och konvent i Sverige 1523-1596 : The Dissolution of the monasteries in 16th century Sweden

    Författare :Martin Berntson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; monasteries; dissolution; Reformation; popular mentalities; Sweden; sixteenth century;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of the study is to investigate the dissolution of the monasteries in 16th century Sweden. One reason behind this aim is that this process has never before been investigated in its totality. Based on earlier research as well as on my own, I have tried to present a picture of the process as a whole. LÄS MER
