  1. 21. The Metallurgical Aspects of Machinability in Prehardened Mould Steels

    Författare :Seyyed Mohammad Hamed Hoseiny; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Bainitic structure; Tool Life; Cutting Temperature; Cutting Force; Machinability; Microstructure; Tempered Martensite; Plastic Mould Steels;

    Sammanfattning : High economical efficiency obtained by utilizing prehardened mould steels in plastic mould making has increased the usage of these types of steels to a great extent. Generally, prehardened mould steels are applied for large moulds and moulds for moderate production runs, and one of the advantages of using this type of steel is that no heat treatment is necessary for putting the mould in use. 2. 22. Adaptive Active Control of Machine-Tool Vibration in a Lathe - Analysis and Experiments

    Författare :Lars Håkansson; Industriell Produktion; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Materiallära; Material technology; Metal Cutting; Lathe; Tool Vibration; Active Control; Adaptive Signal Processing; materialteknik;

    Sammanfattning : In the turning operation the relative dynamic motion between cutting tool and workpiece, or vibration, is a frequent problem, which affects the result of the machining, and in particular, the surface finish. Tool life is also influenced by vibration. LÄS MER

  3. 23. FE-Simulation of Metal Cutting Processes

    Författare :Ahmet Semih Ertürk; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Inverse identification; Machine learning; Metal cutting; Finite element method; Heat transfer; Machining;

    Sammanfattning : Machining a new component or a new material requires the selection of the cutting conditions, the tool material and the tool geometry. The selections should be also optimized for the existing components and materials to improve the quality of the produced components and reduce the cost of production. LÄS MER

  4. 24. FE-Simulation of Metal Cutting Processes

    Författare :Ahmet Semih Ertürk; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Metal cutting; Ductile fracture; Gradient damage; Finite element method; Turning; Machining; Inverse identification;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the finite element (FE) simulation of machining processes. Realistic simulation of metal cutting processes enables a more resource-efficient machinability assessment for a given material in terms of cutting forces, chip shape and tool wear at different ranges of cutting conditions. 5. 25. Machining properties of wood : Tool wear, cutting force and tensioning of blades

    Författare :Luis Cristovao; Frieder Scholz; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Träteknik; Wood Technology;

    Sammanfattning : Cutting processes, in general, and wood cutting processes, in particular, are complex to explain and describe with many influencing factors. Wood, in contrast to man-made fabricated materials, is not a homogenous and distinct material, but a multifaceted and nonhomogeneous biological material. LÄS MER
