  1. 1. On bone quality and implant stability measurements

    Författare :Bertil Friberg; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; early failures; titanium implants; jaw bone quality; jaw bone volume; cutting torque; implant stability; resonance frequency; one-stage surgery;

    Sammanfattning : In conjuction with placement of oral implants, the jaw bone quality assessment is mainly based on quantitative radiographic measures and the subjective opinion of the performing surgeon. While the primary implant stability is discussed in terms of the pre-set motor torque and the subjective hand-felt perception during final tightening of implants, the secondary stability is defined as the absence of implant mobility. Sammanfattning : Aluminas are materials of high technological importance that show a fascinating structural flexibility, with a large amount of different phases (alpha, gamma, eta, delta, kappa, chi, ...) and phase transitions at relatively high temperatures. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Performance Testing of Cutting Fluids and Tool Holders in Metal Cutting

    Författare :Varun Nayyar; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Chip Microstructure; Torque; Drilling; Compressed air; Turning; Tool-holding; Force.; Tapping; Keyword: Cutting Fluid;

    Sammanfattning : ABSTRACTThe metal cutting industry has evolved over the last century to the point where an increasing range and complexity of tool holding systems and cutting fluids are available for metal machining in the market. Most of the companies report their cutting fluid cost to be between 7 -17 % of the manufacturing cost. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Strength and Stability of Interfaces in Cemented Carbides

    Författare :Mikael Christensen; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; adhesion; segregation; plastic deformation; microstructure; interfaces; electron structure calculations; cermets; sintering; infiltration; cemented carbides; grain boundaries; cutting tools; density-functional theory; hardmetals; WC-Co; wetting;

    Sammanfattning : Cemented carbides are hard composite materials of great technological importance. They are widely used as tool materials in a large variety of applications where the demands on hardness and toughness are high, including e.g.≈mining, turning, cutting, and milling. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Component Synthesis of Machine Tool and Cutter for Process Optimisation

    Författare :Anders Liljerehn; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; State-space models; Component synthesis; Experimental modal analysis; System Identification; Receptance coupling; Metal Cutting; Chatter stability;

    Sammanfattning : Metal cutting is today one of the leading forming processes in the manufacturing industry. The metal cutting industry houses several actors providing machine tools and cutting tools with a fierce competition as a consequence. Extensive efforts are made to improve the performance of both machine tools and cutting tools. LÄS MER
