1. Crossed Product Structures Associated with Topological Dynamical Systems
Sammanfattning : We study connections between topological dynamical systems and associated algebras of crossed product type. We derive equivalences between structural properties of a crossed product and dynamical properties of the associated system and furthermore derive qualitative results concerning the crossed product that are true regardless of the corresponding dynamical system. 2. Ideals and Maximal Commutative Subrings of Graded Rings
Sammanfattning : This thesis is mainly concerned with the intersection between ideals and (maximal commutative) subrings of graded rings. The motivation for this investigation originates in the theory of C*-crossed product algebras associated to topological dynamical systems, where connections between intersection properties of ideals and maximal commutativity of certain subalgebras are well-known. 3. The structure of epsilon-strongly group graded rings
Sammanfattning : The development of a general theory of strongly group graded rings was initiated by Dade, Năstăsescu and Van Oystaeyen in the 1980s, and since then numerous structural results have been established. In this thesis we develop a general theory of so-called (nearly) epsilon-strongly group graded rings which were recently introduced by Nystedt, Öinert and Pinedo and which generalize strongly group graded rings. 4. Remittances, Access & Adaptation: Options to Secure Rural Livelihoods in Morocco and Myanmar
Sammanfattning : State leaders have adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and pledged to leave no one behind. This thesis advances knowledge for attaining these goals, through systems thinking and place-based research in the context of climate and land-change processes in Morocco and Myanmar. LÄS MER
5. Access to everyday activities in public space : views of people with dementia
Sammanfattning : The general aim of this thesis was to increase knowledge about problematic situations in public space as experienced by community-dwelling people with dementia, and about how they meet these situations when doing everyday activities there. The aim also included increasing knowledge about transactions between people with dementia and public space. LÄS MER
