  1. 6. Adapting Experimental and Monitoring Methods for Continuous Processes under Feedback Control : Challenges, Examples, and Tools

    Författare :Francesca Capaci; Erik Vanhatalo; Bjarne Bergquist; Murat Kulahci; Bart De Ketelaere; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Continuous process; Statistical process control; Design of experiments; Engineering process control; Quality improvement; Simulation tools; Kvalitetsteknik och logistik; Quality technology and logistics; Kvalitetsteknik; Quality Technology Management;

    Sammanfattning : Continuous production covers a significant part of today’s industrial manufacturing. Consumer goods purchased on a frequent basis, such as food, drugs, and cosmetics, and capital goods such as iron, chemicals, oil, and ore come through continuous processes. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Modelling and Inference for Spatio-Temporal Marked Point Processes

    Författare :Ottmar Cronie; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Asymptotic normality; Consistency; Cox-Ingersoll-Ross process; Diffusion process; Edge correction; Goodness-of-fit; Richards growth function; Growth-interaction process; Immigration-death process; Least squares estimation; Markov process; Maximum likelihood estimation; Open-growth; Spatio-temporal marked point process; Stationarity; Stochastic differential equation; Transition density; Asymptotic normality;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with inference problems related to the growth-interaction process (GI-process). The GI-process is a continuous time spatio-temporal point process with dynamic interacting marks (closed disks), in which the immigration-death process (ID-process) controls the arrivals of new marked points as well as their potential life-times. 3. 8. Lean Remanufacturing : Reducing Process Lead Time

    Författare :Jelena Kurilova-Palisaitiene; Erik Sundin; Bozena Poksińska; Mats Björkman; Martin Kurdve; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Circular Economy; Lean Production; Toyota Production System; Value Stream Mapping; Remanufacturing Process Challenges and Improvements; Process Efficiency;

    Sammanfattning : Remanufacturing is a product recovery option in which used products are brought back into useful life. While the remanufacturing industry stretches from heavy machinery to automotive parts, furniture, and IT sectors, it faces challenges. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents studies of semi-Markov models for insurance and option rewards. The thesis consists of the introduction and six papers. The introduction presents the results of the thesis in an informal way.In paper A, a general semi-Markov reward model is presented. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Design and Control of Integrated Continuous Processes for the Purification of Biopharmaceuticals

    Författare :Joaquin Gomis Fons; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Integrated Continuous Biomanufacturing; Downstream Processing; Process Design and Optimization; Process Control; Biopharmaceuticals;

    Sammanfattning : The production of biopharmaceuticals so far has been based on batch processes that are robust and well-known, but very inefficient and inflexible, causing the products to be very expensive and process development to be slow and costly. The production of biopharmaceuticals is thus changing towards integrated continuous biomanufacturing (ICB) in order to reduce costs and increase flexibility in a constantly changing market. LÄS MER
