16. Influence of surface roughness on rolling contact fatigue considering thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication effects : Due to Corona it is not possible to attend this defense in person, instead attend via this link: https://play.kth.se/media/0_omfsppe6
Sammanfattning : Rolling contacts are utilized in many technical applications, both in bearings and in the contacts between gear teeth. These components are subjected to high loads in many of their applications. The high loads causes very high contact pressures which may cause rolling contact fatigue, often denoted as pitting or spalling. LÄS MER
17. Time-domain modelling of curve squeal: a fast model for one- and two-point wheel/rail contact
Sammanfattning : Curve squeal is a type of railway noise that may arise when a railway vehicle negotiates a relatively tight curve. A single frequency, corresponding to a wheel mode, dominates the radiated sound, which makes squeal a very tonal noise. LÄS MER
18. Inverse Identification of Dynamic Wheel-rail Contact Forces
Sammanfattning : Accurate evaluation of contact forces between wheel and rail is essential in the assessmentof vehicle performance and to predict consequences of dynamic vehicle-track interaction. As the contact forces can not be measured directly in the field, one common approachis to measure the strain or acceleration at various positions on a wheel or wheel axle. 19. Mechanical modeling of granite subjected to contact loading
Sammanfattning : The mechanical properties of Bohus granite subjected to contact loading is investigated based on experimental and numerical results. An elasto-plastic constitutive material model combined with a damage description is employed. The material model parameters are determined based on experimental results. LÄS MER
20. Experiments and simulations on the mechanics of ice and snow
Sammanfattning : In this study, experiments and simulations were conducted to investigate ice and snow. The ice sintering force as a function of temperature, pressing force (contact load), contact duration, and particle size during the primary stage of sintering was formulated using experimental methods along with an approximate, semi-analytic, close-form solution.
