  1. 1. Fångar i ett nätverk? : Fängelser, interaktioner och medbrottslingsskap

    Författare :Lena Roxell; Jerzy Sarnecki; Eva Tiby; Britta Kyvsgaard; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; prisons; inmates; interactions; co-offending; networks; gangs; prison gangs; Criminology; Kriminologi; kriminologi; Criminology;

    Sammanfattning : The objective of the thesis is to study how contacts/relationships are established in prison, and whether this is of significance for co-offending. A further objective is that of studying co-offending among individuals classified as gang members. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Macrophage-material surface interactions

    Författare :Christina Gretzer; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Apoptosis; biomaterials; cell-cell interactions; cell-material interactions; cytokines; differentiation; fibrinogen; hydrogen peroxide; LPS; monocytes; particles;

    Sammanfattning : Material surface-stimulated activation of the macrophage and the release of mediators has been suggested to be an important factor for inflammation and tissue regeneration around biomedical implants. Macrophage interactions with particles released from implants as well as macophage-bacteria interactions are also involved in implant loosening processes. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Food and Packaging Interactions Affecting Food Quality

    Författare :Fredrik Johansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; sorbed vegetable oil; oxygen transmission rate; food packaging; supercritical fluid extraction; inertness test; refillable PET bottles; permeability; aroma; interactions; sorption;

    Sammanfattning : Food and packaging interactions that may impair the food quality have been studied and methods to determine these interactions have been developed. An off-line supercritical fluid extraction method using carbon dioxide was developed and used to extract sorbed low molecular weight compounds from polymer films. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Host-bacteria interactions : Host cell responses and bacterial pathogenesis

    Författare :Nele de Klerk; Ann-Beth Jonsson; Teresa Frisan; Stockholms universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : Helicobacter pylori colonizes the human stomach, where it causes gastritis that may develop into peptic ulcer disease or cancer when left untreated. Neisseria gonorrhoeae colonizes the urogenital tract and causes the sexually transmitted disease gonorrhea. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Adenovirus-host interactions : implications for tropism and therapy

    Författare :Annasara Lenman; Niklas Arnberg; Lennart Svensson; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Adenoviridae; Amino Acids; Antiviral Agents; Epithelial Cells; Factor IX;

    Sammanfattning : Human adenoviruses (HAdVs) are common viruses often associated withgastrointestinal, ocular and respiratory infections. They can infect a widevariety of cells, both dividing and non-dividing. HAdVs attach to and infecttarget cells through interactions with cellular receptors. LÄS MER
