1. Voronoi Constellations for Coherent Fiber-Optic Communication Systems
Sammanfattning : The increasing demand for higher data rates is driving the adoption of high-spectral-efficiency (SE) transmission in communication systems. The well-known 1. LÄS MER
2. On the Design of Communication Systems for Strong Oscillator Phase Noise - Detection Methods and Constellation Optimization
Sammanfattning : The problem of designing wireless communication systems to operate in the presence of oscillator phase noise is a classical problem in communication theory. In recent times, there has been a renewed interest in thisproblem for a multitude of reasons. LÄS MER
3. On the Impact of Phase Noise in Communication Systems –- Performance Analysis and Algorithms
Sammanfattning : The mobile industry is preparing to scale up the network capacity by a factor of 1000x in order to cope with the staggering growth in mobile traffic. As a consequence, there is a tremendous pressure on the network infrastructure, where more cost-effective, flexible, high speed connectivity solutions are being sought for. LÄS MER
4. Role constellations in value co-creation : a study of resource integration in an e-government context
Sammanfattning : The contribution of the present thesis is describing and explaining how value is co-created by addressing customer-employee role constellations during service encounters. There is a specific focus on customers’ and employees’ resource integration when co-creating value. LÄS MER
5. On the labeling of Signal Constellations
Sammanfattning : The work in this thesis studies a simple model of a digital communication system in which the transmitter operates on a sequence of information bits by grouping them into blocks of m bits and mapping such blocks onto one out of M = 2m waveforms, which is transmitted over the channel. The receiver recovers the original message by demapping the transmitted signals disturbed by noise back to m-bit blocks using maximum-likelihood symbol detection. LÄS MER
