16. Lokalradio och kommersiell radio 1975−2010 : En mediehistorisk studie av produktion och konkurrens
Sammanfattning : The main question in this dissertation is: How can the emergence of local and commercial radio and the ensuing changes within each be understood in relation to intermedial and intramedial competition? This overarching question is broken down into four research questions. What driving forces contributed to the implementation of local and commercial radio respectively? (How can the competitive context of these two radio forms be described and periodized? In what ways have the practices of producing radio output, radio audiences and brands changed during the period covered by this study? What similarities and differences have emerged between local radio and commercial radio over time? This study can be seen as an institutional media history, focusing on two distinctive periods in the history of Swedish radio and television, Decentralization (1977-1987) and Commercialization (1987 onwards). 17. Concentrations in the EU pharmaceutical sector : The protection of effective competition under Council Regulation No 139/2004 on the control of concentrations between undertakings
Sammanfattning : A central element of competition law consists in the control of concentrations, that is, the changes in the competitive structure resulting from mergers and acquisitions. By controlling concentrations with a Union Dimension, the European Commission ensures that effective competition will not be significantly impeded, in particular by the creation or strengthening of dominant positions. Sammanfattning : This PhD thesis consists of four papers analyzing the impact of competition and innovation on Swedish manufacturing firms’ performance. Paper [I] (co-authored with Patrik Gustavsson Tingvall) analyse determinants of firm R&D using matched Swedish employer-employee data spanning the period 1990-1999. LÄS MER
