21. Development of Multi-Dimensional Laser Techniques for In-situ Combustion Diagnostics
Sammanfattning : Multi-dimensional, laser-based measurements of quantities important for obtaining a better understanding of combustion processes, particularly of temperature and of species distributions, were performed using laser-induced fluorescence (LIF). The main purpose of the temperature experiments was to investigate the potential of employing a two-line atomic fluorescence technique (TLAF), using indium as the tracer species, in sooting environments such as in diesel engines. 22. Laser diagnostics and kinetic modelling of reaction intermediates in catalytic combustion

23. Application of Laser Techniques in Combustion Environments of Relevance for Gas Turbine Studies
Sammanfattning : In the work presented in this thesis, different laser-based techniques were employed for measurements in different combustion devices. Laser-based techniques enable non-intrusive and in-situ measurements to be carried out, in which high spatial and temporal resolution can be obtained. LÄS MER
24. Thermometry Using Laser-Induced Emission from Thermographic Phosphors: Development and Applications in Combustion
Sammanfattning : Temperature is a fundamental thermodynamic parameter used to describe physical, chemical and biological processes. Much effort is made to measure temperature accurately in a wide variety of applications, making temperature one of the most extensively measured parameters. LÄS MER
25. Laser Diagnostic Techniques with Ultra-High Repetition Rate for Studies in Combustion Environments
Sammanfattning : When conducting laser based diagnostics in combustion environments it is often desirable to obtain temporally resolved information. This can be due to several factors such as combustion taking place in a turbulent flow field, flame propagation from a spark plug in an initially quiescent combustible mixture, or rapid, multi-point fuel consumption in a homogeneous charge as a result of compression ignition in an engine cycle.
