  1. 1. Perception of rolling noise

    Författare :Alice Hoffmann; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Auralization; Rolling Noise; Perception; Tyre Road Noise; Psychoacoustics;

    Sammanfattning : Due to improvements on combustion-engines and electric-engines for cars, tyre noisehas become the prominent noise source at low and medium speeds. Models existthat simulate the noise produced by a rolling tyre, as do models that auralize differenttraffic situations from a basic data set. LÄS MER

  2. 2. On the Combustion Characteristics of Closely-Coupled LD Diesel Injection Strategies

    Författare :Michael Denny; Förbränningsmotorer; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Diesel combustion; Closely-Coupled Pilot; Closely-Spaced Pilot; Combustion Noise; Heat release rate shaping; Multiple-injection strategy; Formaldehyde PLIF;

    Sammanfattning : Multiple-pilot injection strategies with both moderate and short time separations (dwells) are investigated in a light-duty diesel engine. Both conventional and optical engine experiments are performed. LÄS MER

  3. 3. AURALIZATION, PERCEPTION AND DETECTION OF TYRE–ROAD NOISE

    Författare :Alice Hoffmann; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Perception; Psychoacoustics; Rolling Noise; Traffic Detection; Reaction Time; Auralization; Tyre Road Noise;

    Sammanfattning : Due to improvements in combustion engines and electric engines for cars, tyre noise has become the prominent noise source at low and medium speeds. Models exist that simulate the noise produced by a rolling tyre, as do models that auralize specific traffic situations from a basic data set. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Development of Multi-Dimensional Laser Techniques for In-situ Combustion Diagnostics

    Författare :Jenny Nygren; Förbränningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Laser Diagnsotics; Visualisation; Laser technology; Laserteknik; Motors and propulsion systems; Motorer; framdrivningssystem; Combustion; Temperature; Fysicumarkivet A:2003:Nygren;

    Sammanfattning : Multi-dimensional, laser-based measurements of quantities important for obtaining a better understanding of combustion processes, particularly of temperature and of species distributions, were performed using laser-induced fluorescence (LIF). The main purpose of the temperature experiments was to investigate the potential of employing a two-line atomic fluorescence technique (TLAF), using indium as the tracer species, in sooting environments such as in diesel engines. 5. 5. Turbo Charged Low Temperature Combustion - Experiments, Modeling and Control

    Författare :Hans Aulin; Förbränningsmotorer; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HCCI; PPC; CAI; NVO; low temperature combustion; torductor; ion current; control; modeling; combustion feedback; sensors;

    Sammanfattning : Both the global economy and the society in general are dependent on the availability of reliable transportation. Most transportation technology involves the use of internal combustion engines in one way or another. LÄS MER
