  1. 16. Analysis of the time and humidity-dependent mechanical behaviour of paper webs at offset printing preess conditions

    Författare :Jan Lif; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :creep; deformation; dynamic test; ;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the time, frequency andhumidity-dependent mechanical behaviour of paper webs at offsetprinting press conditions. How the paper web, the set-up andrunning conditions alter press performance is not fullyunderstood, and are difficult to isolate and investigateexperimentally. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Creation of printed dynamic images

    Författare :Linda Johansson; Björn Kruse; Reiner Lenz; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Bildbehandling;

    Sammanfattning : In today's competitive marketplace, the advertisers require an increased visual impact to attract more attention. Creating unique packaging and novel advertisment concepts by adding updateable graphic images to the paper surface might be one way to draw more attention to the printed product, and at the same time include more information in the same printed area. 3. 18. Consolidation and Rheology at High Solids Content

    Författare :Jerker Jäder; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Chemical Engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Paper and board are pigment coated in order to achieve a smooth surface, thereby enhancing the optical and printing properties. In the most frequently used technique, a metal blade is used for metering off the coating colour, which is typically applied by roll or jet application. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Wetting and levelling of toner during fusing of electrophotographic prints

    Författare :Torbjörn Pettersson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This licentiate thesis comprises two studies dealing withthe fusing step in electrophotographic printing. The firststudy addresses the development of a method for monitoringwetting/spreading of single toner particles in-situ on a heatedsubstrate. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Topographical micro-changes in corrugated board production : effects on flexographic post-print quality

    Författare :Marcus Rehberger; Nils Enlund; Gunnar Engström; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; corrugated board; liner; double-facer; double-backer; gloss; surface roughness; micro structure; wear; paper metal friction; flexo; ink-jet; print quality; Cellulose and paper engineering; Cellulosa- och pappersteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The appearance and design of a package are key properties to attract and to focus the attention of a customer. Print quality contributes to a great degree to achieve these requirements. Most critical perceived in terms of quality are print defects like mottling, gloss and stripiness, which all appear in the printing of corrugated board. LÄS MER
