  1. 1. Collective Intentionality and Solidarity : A Multi-Methodological Investigation of How Collective Intentionality Shapes Solidarity on Different Levels of Analysis

    Författare :Zeynep Melis Kirgil; Andrea Voyer; Dawn T. Robinson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; collective intentionality; solidarity; small groups; leadership; COVID-19; political ideology; political speeches; mixed methods; experiments; Sociology; sociologi;

    Sammanfattning : Collective intentionality lies at the heart of solidarity and social action. Collective intentions refer to thinking in a “We-mode” oriented toward the social group, contrary to individual-oriented thinking in “I-mode”. Theories in philosophy and sociology have long recognized the importance of collective intentions for solidarity. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Magnetodynamics of pseudo spin valves investigated using co-planar waveguide and spin torque ferromagnetic resonance techniques

    Författare :Masoumeh Fazlali; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Spintronics; Nanocontact pseudo spin valve; Spin waves; Oersted field; Interlayer exchange coupling; Acoustic and optical modes; Spin pumping; Spin transfer torque; Slonczewski mode; Collective mode;

    Sammanfattning : Nanocontact spin-torque nano-oscillators (NC-STNOs), based on magnetic multilayers, can generate a wide range of highly nonlinear localized and propagating spin wave modes for use in magnonics. In this thesis, we study some aspects of these structures from the fundamental physics point of view using the spin torque ferromagnetic resonance technique (ST-FMR) and conventional broadband FMR technique. Författare :Aron Schoug; Tore West; Staffan Nilsson; Jon Ohlsson; Peter E Johansson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Large-scale collaborative creativity; collective learning; organizing; organizational learning; artistic collaboration; theater production; ethnography; leadership; Storskaligt kreativt samarbete; kollektivt lärande; organisering; organisatoriskt lärande; konstnärligt samarbete; teaterproduktion; etnografi; ledarskap; pedagogik; Education;

    Sammanfattning : Storskaliga kreativa samarbeten blir allt vanligare i dagens organisationer, till exempel inom kreativa näringar, innovationsprocesser och utvecklingsprojekt. I sådana samarbeten behöver många individer vara kreativa och deras bidrag sammanflätas. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Modelling collective movement and transport network formation in living systems

    Författare :Arianna Bottinelli; David Sumpter; Renaud Lambiotte; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; animal collective behaviour; transport networks; crowd dynamics; complex systems; ants; fish; Tillämpad matematik och statistik; Applied Mathematics and Statistics;

    Sammanfattning : The emergence of collective patterns from repeated local interactions between individuals is a common feature to most living systems, spanning a variety of scales from cells to animals and humans. Subjects of this thesis are two aspects of emergent complexity in living systems: collective movement and transport network formation. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Collective Electron Dynamics in Mesoscopic Systems

    Författare :Oleksandr Zazunov; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Andreev reflection; Josephson effect; qubit; composite fermions; Andreev levels; resonant tunneling; superconductivity; high-T c superconductors; quantum point contact; fractional quantum Hall effect;

    Sammanfattning : This work is devoted to a theoretical investigation of collective electron dynamics in low dimensional materials and mesoscopic structures. A common feature of these studies is the focus on the properties of the low energy dynamics of conduction electrons. One class of studied materials is the high-Tc superconductor Nd2CuO4 and related compounds. LÄS MER
