  1. 21. Two is one too many : dyadic memory collaboration effects on encoding and retrieval of episodes

    Författare :Jan Andersson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of the present thesis was to investigate how individual memory potential in different tasks is affected by collaboration in social settings. Collaborative group dimensions were also studied: friendship, age, and gender. The principal comparison was between an actual collaborative dyad and the sum of the two individuals' memory potential, i. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Making Room for Complexity in Group Collaborations: The Roles of Scaffolding and Facilitation

    Författare :Pia Andersson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; action research; adult development; awareness; coaction; collective efficacy; complexity; group facilitation; hope; metacognition; methods for complex issues; scaffolding;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis has a dual objective: the theoretical aim is to analyse how developmental scaffolding influences the way that group participants’ conceptions about societal issues of concern, appropriate goals and courses of action change as their awareness of the interconnectedness between different issues, conditions, causes and consequences increase. On a practical level, the thesis aims to contribute insights into the craft and role of facilitation for facilitators, project leaders, dialogue designers and other practitioners whose engagement in group processes involves scaffolding the understanding of issues that have a considerable degree of complexity. Sammanfattning : Participatory Action Research (PAR) is an interventionist, action-orientated and transdisciplinary approach to applied research that strives for the collaborative development of any practice together with relevant stakeholders. It enhances the relevance of research to practice by active stakeholder involvement in all research steps, including the spaces in which the practice is conducted, its iterative knowledge construction and the recognition that knowledge exists in practice and is created when attempting to transform reality.
