    Sammanfattning :  Translation initiation factor 1 (IF1) is an essential bacterial protein, without any clearly defined function in translation initiation.     Sammanfattning : In the present thesis a study on the thermal state of steelmaking ladles was undertaken. The transient hot wire method was verified for thermal conductivity measurements on metallurgical slags and applied to ladle slag measurements.
