  1. 1. Sound generation in metal flue organ pipes: On the influence of asymmetric flue exit geometry and vibrations of the upper labium with particular emphasis on the early response

    Författare :Matthias Scholz; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :jet contraction; wall vibrations; CFD; jet velocity profile; tap tone; asymmetry of flue exits; operational deflection shapes; Coanda effect; yielding upper labium; modal analysis; bottom clamped cylinder; vibration measurements; metal flue organ pipes; dipole; initial jet formation;

    Sammanfattning : Sound generation in flue organ pipes is caused by the non-linear interaction between an instable jet and a tube resonator. Our understanding of this very complex physical process is still incomplete, and there is not yet a model that can explain all details of the richness in pipe sound which can be achieved by a trained organ pipe voicer. 2. 2. On the fluid mechanics of electrochemical coating and spray painting

    Författare :Pedro Olivas; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :mass transfer; electrochemical coating; ion transport; forced convection; diffusion; magnetoelectrolysis; electrolyte; limiting current; numerical simulation;

    Sammanfattning : Finite-volume methods have been used for modeling of fluidflows involved in forced convection electrochemical coating androtating spray painting systems. Electrodeposition on a singlecircular cylinder under forced convection for Reynolds numbers10 and 200 was simulated. LÄS MER

    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Multiple interacting jets; round jets; confluent jets; wall jet; ventilation strategy; air distribution system; air supply device; ventilation performance; thermal comfort; energy-saving potential; measurement; numerical predictions; RANS turbulence models; renormalization group RNG k– ε ; realizable Re k– ε ; and shear stress transport SST k– ω ;

    Sammanfattning : This study presents air distribution systems that are based on confluent jets; this system can be of interest for the establishment of indoor environments, to fulfill the goals of indoor climate and energy-efficient usage. The main objective of this study is to provide deeper understanding of the flow field development of a supply device that is designed based on wall confluent jets and to investigate the ventilation performance by experimental and numerical methods.
