    Sammanfattning : The modified dopamine (DA) hypothesis of schizophrenia suggests a hyperdopaminergic state in subcortical brain regions, which is believed to cause positive symptoms, while cortical regions may show a hypodopaminergic state which is believed to generate negative and cognitive symptoms.
