    Sammanfattning : This work examines and analyses the reform attempts undertaken by the Greek Orthodox and Uniate Bishop of Lviv, Iosyf Shumliansky, during his episcopacy (1668-1708).     Sammanfattning : This thesis explores aspects of what happened to the state Church of Sweden during the rise of the importance of public opinion and the evolution of the democratic nation state. Denmark provides the most well known Nordic example of how an old state Church became a democratic Folk (i.e. National) Church during this general transition. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : What did people think about the relationship between a man and a woman in Early Modern Sweden? Did they consider love and the parties' free choice to be of any importantance in the making of a marriage? What happened when marriages were falling apart, how common were divorces? I also discuss why sexuality was restricted, and how it affected women and men. What effects did changes in the legislation have? In discussing these questions my theoretical perspective is influenced by New Cultural History. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : During the first half of the nineteenth century infant mortality rates in Ådalen, an agrarian region in northern Sweden, were among the highest in the country. During the second half of the century the region experienced a rapid population growth and a restructuring of the economy in conjunction with the expansion of the sawmill industry. LÄS MER
