  1. 1. Histamine and chromogranin A-derived peptides in rat stomach ECL cells

    Detta är en avhandling från Per Norlén, Dept. of Pharmacol. Sölveg. 10, S-22362 Lund, Sweden

    Författare :Per Norlén; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2000]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; pharmacy; pharmacognosy; Pharmacological sciences; CGRP adrenaline; galanin; VIP; PACAP; somatostatin; gastrin; microdialys; pancreastatin; chromogranin A; histamine; ECL cell; rat stomach; toxicology; Farmakologi; farmakognosi; farmaci; toxikologi; Endocrinology; secreting systems; diabetology; Endokrinologi; sekretion; diabetologi;

    Sammanfattning : The ECL cells constitute the predominant endocrine cell population of the stomach. They secrete histamine which is a major stimulator of acid secretion. Chormogranin A (CgA)-derived peptides, such as pancreastatin, are co-secreted with histamine. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Chromogranin a epitopes catestatin and vasostatin

    Detta är en avhandling från Per Norlén, Dept. of Pharmacol. Sölveg. 10, S-22362 Lund, Sweden

    Författare :Thanikul Srithunyarat; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet.; [2017]
    Nyckelord :LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Psychological and physiological factors, including pain, can induce a stress response. All today’s available methods for evaluating stress in dogs have shortcomings and it is therefore necessary to identify and evaluate new biomarkers. Chromogranin A (CgA) is a useful biomarker for stress assessment in humans. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Clinical and Experimental Studies on Inflammatory Bowel Disease with special emphasis on Collagenous Colitis

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes studies in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and collagenous colitis (CC). We investigated mucosal eosinophil and neutrophil granulocytes and T-cells involved in the inflammatory processes and aimed at determining whether these processes are reflected in the faecal (F) contents of specific proteins secreted by cells in the intestinal mucosa. 4. 4. Neurohormonal Modulators in the Parathyroid Gland. Localization and regulation

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Physiology and Neuroscience, Lund University

    Författare :Lena Luts; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [1997]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Receptor; In situ hybridization; Immunocytochemistry; Nitric Oxide Synthase; Endothelin; Neuropeptides; Chromogranin; Parathyroid adenoma; Parathyroid gland; Parathyroid hormone; mRNA; Endocrinology; secreting systems; diabetology; Endokrinologi; sekretion; diabetologi;

    Sammanfattning : The occurrence and distribution of neurohormonal peptides, neuroendocrine markers and receptors in parathyroid nerve fibers and endocrine cells are described, using immunocytochemistry, in situ hybridization, image analysis and reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction. Immunocytochemical studies revealed that parathyroid glands of chicken, rat, guinea-pig, cat, dog and sheep contained adrenergic-, cholinergic-, and peptide-containing nerve fibers. LÄS MER
