  2. 2. New Techniques for Chiral Separations

    Författare :Jeanette Olsson; Lars Blomberg; Steen Honoré Hansen; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; analytical chemistry; chiral separation; GC; CE; CEC; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Gas chromatography (GC) has been utilized for the study of enantiomer resolution of the atropisomers of PCBs, o,p´-DDD and o,p´-DDT. Different substituents and concentrations of cyclodextrin, capillary dimensions and type of stationary phase films have been investigated to achieve the resolution of as many of the atropisomers on one column as possible. 3. 3. Chiral Separation of Amines by Non-Aqueous Capillary Electrophoresis using Low Molecular Weight Selectors

    Författare :Ylva Hedeland; Curt Pettersson; Ulf Bondesson; Lars Blomberg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Chiral Separation; Non-Aqueous Capillary Electrophoresis; Enantioresolution; Electro-osmotic Flow; Pharmaceuticals; Enantiomeric Amines; Low Molecular Weight Selector; Farmaceutisk kemi; Kemi med inriktning mot analytisk kemi; Chemistry with specialization in Analytical Chemistry; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Analytisk farmaceutisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Three chiral selectors (diketogulonic acid, benzoxycarbonylglycylproline and ketopinic acid) have been introduced for enantioseparation of pharmacologically active amines in non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis. The use of organic solvents, instead of aqueous buffers in the background electrolyte facilitated ion-pair formation between the analytes and the chiral selectors. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Separation of Pharmaceuticals by Capillary Electrophoresis using Partial Filling and Multiple-injections

    Författare :Henrik Lodén; Curt Pettersson; Torbjörn Arvidsson; Ahmad Amini; Morgan Stefansson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Capillary Coating; Chiral Separation; Enantiomers; Mass-spectrometric Detection; Method Validation; Multiple-injection Capillary Zone Electrophoresis; Non-aqueous Capillary Electrophoresis; Organic Solvents; Pharmaceutical Analysis; Quantitative Analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Different multiple-injection methodologies and the partial filling technique (PFT) have been utilized for separation of pharmaceuticals by capillary elec-trophoresis. In multiple-injection capillary zone electrophoresis (MICZE), the samples and all standards, used for construction of the calibration curve, are analyzed within a single run. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the development of liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) methods for the trace analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and their metabolites in aqueous environmental matrices. The research was focused on the development of chiral LC-MS/MS methods for the analysis of fluoxetine and metoprolol, as well as their chiral metabolites in environmental water samples. LÄS MER
