   Sammanfattning : A basic pillar of the Swedish juvenile justice system is that children who commit crimes at first hand should be surrendered to the local social services authorities (further on: also welfare agencies) for treatment, according to their needs. This is based on the idea that children lack the capacity to fully understand the consequences of their crimes. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to scrutinise the statements from the social authorities to the criminal courts in the juvenile justice process, and to analyse in what extent these statements influenced the criminal courts in their penalty sentencing for boys aged 15-17 years, suspected and convicted for assault and battery and grand assault and battery, in Stockholm County the years of 1998 and 2000.In 1998 a child’s perspective and the concept of the best interest of the child was introduced in the Social services act.    Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns the analysis of grammar errors in Swedish texts written by primary school children and the development of a finite state system for finding such errors. Grammar errors are more frequent for this group of writers than for adults and the distribution of the error types is different in children's texts. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : The dissertation contains an analysis of children’s right to participate in legal proceedings that concern the child personally in Swedish law and according to the international undertakings that Sweden has accepted, inter alia, by ratification of the UN convention on the rights of the child.In this work, an investigation is made into the application by the district courts of the legislative rules introduced in 1996, which give the child to right to state its view on matters that affect them personally.
