  1. 11. Transceiver Design for Multiple Antenna Communication Systems with Imperfect Channel State Information

    Författare :Xi Zhang; Björn Ottersten; Miguel Lagunas; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; MIMO; imperfect CSI; linear transceiver; beamforming; user selection; robust design; channel statistics; Telecommunication; Telekommunikation;

    Sammanfattning : Wireless communication links with multiple antennas at both the transmitter and the receiver sides, so-called multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO)systems, are attracting much interest since they can significantly increase the capacity of band-limited wireless channels to meet the requirements of the future high data rate wireless communications. The treatment of channel state information (CSI) is critical in the design of MIMO systems. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Space-time processing and equalization for wireless communications

    Författare :Erik Lindskog; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Materials science; Space-time processing; channel estimation; equalization; maximum likelihood sequence estimation; decision feedback equalization; interference suppression; robustness; Materialvetenskap; Materials science; Teknisk materialvetenskap; Signal Processing; signalbehandling;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis several aspects of space-time processing and equalization for wire-less communications are treated. We discuss several different methods of improving estimates of space-time channels, such as temporal parametrization, spatial parametrization, reduced rank channel estimation, bootstrap channel estimation,and joint estimation of an FIR channel and an AR noise model. 3. 13. Ultra-Reliable Short-Packet Communications: Fundamental Limits and Enabling Technologies

    Författare :Johan Östman; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ultra-reliable low-latency; variablelength stop-feedback; imperfect CSI; channel estimation; HARQ.; joint detection and decoding; short packets; Block-fading channels; multiuser massive MIMO;

    Sammanfattning : The paradigm shift from 4G to 5G communications, anticipated to enable ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC), will enforce a radical change in the design of wireless communication systems. Unlike in 4G systems, where the main objective is to provide a large transmission rate, in URLLC, as implied by its name, the objective is to enable transmissions with low latency and, simultaneously, very high reliability. 4. 14. Experience feedback in industrialised house-building : The impact of production strategies

    Författare :Robert Lundkvist; Stefan Olander; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Construction Engineering and Management; Byggproduktion;

    Sammanfattning : Construction companies need to develop processes for experience feedback (EF) and knowledge-sharing in order to improve their performance over time. Industrialised house-building offers strategies for combating problems typical to project-based organisations such as adopting a more product- and process-oriented approach as well as different production strategies. 5. 15. Computer-based speech therapy using visual feedback with focus on children with profound hearing impairments

    Författare :Anne-Marie Öster; David House; James Mahshie; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Speech technology; hearing-imparment; speech therapy; visual feedback; second language learning; computer-based speech training; INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH AREAS; TVÄRVETENSKAPLIGA FORSKNINGSOMRÅDEN;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents work in the area of computer-based speech therapy using different types of visual feedback to replace the auditory feedback channel. The study includes diagnostic assessment methods prior to therapy, type of therapy design, and type of visual feedback for different users during different stages of therapy for increasing the efficiency.
