21. Investigation on Propeller-Rudder Interaction by Numerical Methods
Sammanfattning : The axial forces in a propeller-rudder interactive system working in uniform flow are theoretically studied: In a steady linear method the propeller is represented by bound and free vortex systems, the rudder by vortex and source filaments and the rudder wake by free vortex filaments. A lifting-line analysis method predicts the propeller characteristics. LÄS MER
22. 'Getting' it Together In Joint Directed Action
Sammanfattning : This thesis is focused upon investigating how come activities in organizations are sometimes not aligned with an objective at hand, be it a project goal, safety, quality or other. When something goes wrong, where are the answers to be found? In the pursuit to examine these questions further, the aim of the thesis has been to investigate meaning making in action as this can increase an understanding of how actors may continuously align their actions, collective and/or individual, with a common goal – this process here being called Joint Directed Action (JDA). 23. Six Sigma management. Action research with some contributions to theories and methods
Sammanfattning : Many companies around the world have implemented Six Sigma as a problem solving methodology especially useful for dealing with recurring problems in business processes. Since the 1980s when it was developed at Motorola, many companies have tried to implement Six Sigma to fit their own company’s culture and goals. LÄS MER

25. Arbete och hälsa vid skogsarbete: En multivariat studie av huggare och maskinförare
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with a model of the influence of work, of individual capacities and on how work affects the individual. The studies are connected to the "work science" tradition. Manual and mechanized forest work with their physical and mental loads are described and analysed. The particular problems that field studies involve are discussed. LÄS MER
