1. Development and Tailoring of Low‐Density Cellulose‐Based Structures for Water Treatment
Sammanfattning : The challenges posed by our limited clean water sources and the well-known global water pollution demand more efficient water purification technologies. Additionally, the increasing environmental awareness has inspired a shift towards eco-friendly and renewable materials and technologies. LÄS MER
2. Bio-based preparation of nanocellulose and functionalization using polyelectrolytes
3. Surface modification approaches of cellulose nanofibrils and their effect on dispersibility
Sammanfattning : In the strive to find and develop sustainable bio-based materials an increased interest for nanocellulosic materials as attractive alternatives has arisen during the past decades. This can be attributed to their abundant renewability, remarkable inherent mechanical properties and their capability to be chemically modified. LÄS MER
4. Porous Materials from Cellulose Nanofibrils
Sammanfattning : In the first part of this work a novel type of low-density, sponge-like material for the separation of mixtures of oil and water has been prepared by vapour deposition of hydrophobic tri-chloro-silanes on ultra-porous cellulose nanofibril (CNF) aerogels. To achieve this, a highly porous (>99%) robust CNF aerogel with high structural flexibility is first formed by freeze-drying an aqueous suspension of the CNFs. LÄS MER
5. Design of Cellulose-Based Electrically Conductive Composites: Fundamentals, Modifications, and Scale-up
Sammanfattning : Modern demand for consumer electronics is fueling the generation of 'E-waste.' Furthermore, theraw materials and manufacturing methods used in the fabrication of electronics are not sustainable. LÄS MER
