22. Teacher to learner and back again : a narrative inquiry into teacher voice in professional learning
Sammanfattning : My research investigates how four experienced Ontario elementary teachers use their personal and professional knowledge to define what they consider to be personal, purposeful and relevant professional learning, or authentic professional learning (Mockler, 2013; Webster-Wright, 2009). Authentic learning is here understood to represent what the teachers themselves described as their lived experiences of ongoing professional learning, and what they identified as relevant and purposeful for their continued professional, as well as personal learning. 23. Unifying Service Oriented Technologies for the Specification and Detection of Their Antipatterns
Sammanfattning : Service-based Systems (SBSs) are developed on top of diverse emerging Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) technologies and architectural choices, including SOAP Web services, SCA (Service Component Architecture), and REST. Yet, like any other complex systems, SBSs are subject to change. LÄS MER
24. Mysid growth, stable isotope fractionation, and energetics : implications for food web studies
Sammanfattning : Field data, stable isotope analyses of the Baltic Sea food web structure, and experimental studies of the functional response indicate that theomnivorous crustacean Mysis mixta (Crustacea, Mysidacea) has no distinct trophic position, but can potentially affect plankton communitystructure and compete with herring and sprat for the zooplankton. Toevaluate field data on mysid body constituents, abundance and populationstructure, and that of their potentialprey, basic knowledge of feeding behaviour, growth mechanisms, andreproductive capabilities are required. 25. Red algal starch metabolism : effects of endosymbionts and nutrient status on starch metabolising enzymes
Sammanfattning : Many different organisms occur as endosymbionts of red algae and while some are highly pathogenic others have little effect on the host. An endosymbiotic fungus, found in our culture of Gracilariopsis sp., was characterised and identified as a Chytridiomycete. It was named Thalassochytrium gracilariopsidis and probably belongs to a new order. LÄS MER
