21. The Shape of Strangeness: Transverse Spherocity and Underlying Event studies of φ and its relation to Ξ in √s = 13 TeV pp collisions
Sammanfattning : Through ultrarelativistic particle collisions at the LHC, it is possible to deconfine quarks and gluons. This deconfinement gives rise to a strongly interacting medium, referred to as the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP). LÄS MER
22. Identified Hadron Production as a Function of Event Multiplicity and Transverse Spherocity in pp Collisions at √s = 7 and 13 TeV with the ALICE Detector
Sammanfattning : This study reports on identified hadron production as a function of event multiplicity (dNch/dη) and transverse spherocity (SO) in proton-proton collisions at √s = 7 and 13 TeV measured with the ALICE detector at the LHC. The particle spectra and their ratios measured in high-multiplicity events show signatures of an expanding medium. LÄS MER
23. Electron transfer and fragmentation in fullerene collisions
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, we present results from detailed gas phase studies of intrinsic properties of fullerenes (C60) and clusters of fullerenes as probed by slow multiply charged (atomic or cluster) ions in combination with coincidence time-of-flight mass spectrometry. We have investigated the structures, stabilities, and the electron mobilities of multiply charged clusters of fullerenes, (C60)nr+ (r=2-5). LÄS MER
24. The Charm of Excited Glue : Charmonium in e+e– and ppbar collisions
Sammanfattning : This thesis treats the mass range of charmonium states and excited gluonic fields in two experiments, BESII and PANDA, and outlines a phenomenological model that connects them.In BESII, e+e– form a charmonium initial state, which is utilised as a source for secondary particles. 25. Developing the Angantyr model and extending colour reconnection for heavy-ion collisions in Pythia
Sammanfattning : This thesis is composed of four papers, the first two show the attempts made to extend the Pythia event generator to simulate heavy-ion collision events. The other two papers show methods to improve the hadronization mechanism in the Pythia model for a bettter agreement with the experimental data of pp and heavy-ion collisions. LÄS MER
