  1. 1. Possibilities of CO2 emission reduction : process integration analysis and carbon trading schemes

    Författare :Chuan Wang; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energiteknik; Energy Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Climate change is one of the greatest challenges faced by today's society. With more evidence from scientists, the need to manage greenhouse gas emissions has been increasing in response to international climate change negotiations. LÄS MER

  2. 2. NOx Storage and Reduction Catalysts. Reduction with Hydrogen and the Influence of Water and Carbon Dioxide

    Författare :Anna Maria Lindholm; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NSR catalyst; Pt Ba Al; H2O; CO2; Pt Al; NOx reduction; H2; NH3 formation; NOx storage; Lean NOx Trap; N2O formation; kinetic modeling; Pt Si;

    Sammanfattning : Environmental concern has increased over the past several years and resulted in stringent emission legislation on NOx, CO, and hydrocarbon emissions from automobile exhausts. Moreover, the demands to improve the fuel efficiency of engines and to lower the CO2 emissions have increased, and a way to meet this is by using lean burn engines which operate with oxygen excess. 3. 3. Transition Metal-Based Electrocatalysts for Alkaline Water Splitting and CO2 Reduction

    Författare :Zhen Qiu; Tomas Edvinsson; Kevin Sivula; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Alkaline water splitting; CO2 reduction; Electrocatalyst; In-situ Raman spectroscopy.; Kemi med inriktning mot materialkemi; Chemistry with specialization in Materials Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : With excessive usage of fossil fuels and ever-increasing environmental issues, numerous efforts have been devoted to the development of renewable energies for the replacement of traditional fossil fuels to reduce greenhouse gas emission and realize the rapidly growing demand for global energy. Renewable energies, however, often show diurnal and seasonal variations in power output, forming a need for energy storage to meet people’s continuous energy supply. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : In Sweden, buildings are responsible for about 40 % of total energy use and about 10 % of total CO2 emissions Today more than 60 % of existing Swedish residential buildings are over 40 years old and are in need of major renovation. In addition, 15 % of all multi-family buildings and 27 % of all single-family houses were built before 1945. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Oxy-Fuel Combustion - The Control of Nitrogen Oxides

    Författare :Fredrik Normann; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; oxy-fuel; NOx; O2 CO2; combustion; emission; nitrogen oxides;

    Sammanfattning : Oxy-fuel combustion is one of the main candidates for carbon dioxide capture from power plants. In oxy-fuel combustion, oxygen diluted with recycled flue gas oxidizes the fuel. The elimination of air-borne nitrogen generates a flue gas that mainly consists of carbon dioxide and water. LÄS MER
