Sammanfattning : High-k/metal gate stacks have been introduced in CMOS technology during the last decade in order to sustain continued device scaling and ever-improving circuit performance. Starting from the 45 nm technology node, the stringent requirements in terms of equivalent oxide thickness and gate current density have rendered the replacement of the conventional SiON/poly-Si stack unavoidable. Sammanfattning : Spin torque oscillators (STOs) are microwave oscillators with an attractive blend of features, including a more-than-octave tunability, GHz operating frequencies, nanoscale size, nanosecond switching speed and full compatibility with CMOS technology. Over the past decade, STOs' physical phenomena have been explored to a greater extent, their performance has been further improved, and STOs have already shown great potential for a wide range of applications, from microwave sources and detectors to neuromorphic computing. 23. CMOS Transceiver Front-Ends in Mobile Communication Handsets : Architectures and Building Blocks
Sammanfattning : For mobile communication systems in the low-GHz range, CMOS has increasingly become the technology of choice, and the level of integration in mobile handsets has risen. The use of off-chip components, which increases the handset assembly time and costs, is preferably avoided. LÄS MER
Sammanfattning : This Dissertation describes research on Low Power Digital CMOS Design performed at the LSI Design Center, Department of Physics and Measurement Technology, Linkoping University, Linkoping, Sweden. The research covers Low Power CMOS Device Design, Low Power Circuit and System Technique and Power Estimations in Digital CMOS VLSI Chips. LÄS MER
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with techniques for the full integration of radio frequency (RF) transmitter with CMOS technology. The theory and implementation of high performance digital-to-analog converters (DACs) for radio frequency (RF) transmitters have been studied. A linear interpolation DAC architecture is proposed.
