  1. 1. Att välja energisystem : Processer, aktörer och samverkan i Helsingborg och Gävle 1945–1983

    Författare :Henrik Bohlin; Jane Summerton; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Systems; energy; municipalities; supply; competition; cooperation; CHP-plants; Sweden; Helsingborg; Gävle; Energiförsörjning; energipolitik; kommuner; Helsingborg; Gävle; Sverige; INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH AREAS; TVÄRVETENSKAPLIGA FORSKNINGSOMRÅDEN;

    Sammanfattning : The Swedish municipalities have traditionally, as suppliers of gas, electricity and district heating to end-use consumers, been one of the key actors of national energy politics. Yet, although Swedish district heating systems typically are owned by the public, neither electricity nor heat production is always under public control. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Regional Energy Systems with Retrofitted Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Plants

    Författare :Song Han; Yan Jinyue; Thorin Eva; Deng Shiming; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :Combined heat and power; Waste-to-Energy WtE ; Regional energy system; Greenhouse gases GHG ; Retrofitting; Optimization; Kraftvärme; Avfall-till-Energi; Regionala Energisystem; Växthusgaser; Uppgradering; Optimering.; Energy- and Environmental Engineering; energi- och miljöteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Fossil fuel depletion, economic development, urban expansion and climate change present tough challenges to municipal- and regional-scale energy systems. Regional energy system planning, including waste treatment, renewable energy supply, energy efficiency, and climate change, are considered essential to meet these challenges and move toward a sustainable society. 3. 3. Added value from biomass by broader utilization of fuels and CHP plants

    Författare :Christer Gustavsson; Roger Renström; Lars Nilsson; Pål Börjesson; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; biofuels; bioeconomy; pyrolysis; gasification; leaching; Miljö- och energisystem; Environmental and Energy Systems;

    Sammanfattning : The present work, where additional value-creating processes in existing combined heat and power (CHP) structures have been examined, is motivated by a political- and consumer-driven strive towards a bioeconomy and a stagnation for the existing business models in large parts of the CHP sector.The research is based on cases where the integration of flash pyrolysis for co-production of bio-oil, co-gasification for production of fuel gas and synthetic biofuels as well as leaching of extractable fuel components in existing CHP plants have been simulated. 4. 4. Production planning of CHP plants integrated with bioethanol production and local renewables

    Författare :Mahsa Daraei; Eva Thorin; Anders Avelin; Erik Dotzauer; Natasa Nord; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CHP; Energy systems; Optimization; Polygeneration; Production planning; Renewable resources; Energy- and Environmental Engineering; energi- och miljöteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Production planning of an energy system is dependent on parameters such as energy demand and energy conversion technologies, which are influential in making decisions on operation strategy and optimal performance of the system. In accordance with the European Union energy policy, the share of renewable resources in the energy supply is growing. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Dynamic modeling of MEA-based CO2 capture in biomass-fired CHP plants

    Författare :Beibei Dong; Hailong Li; Jan Skvaril; Eva Thorin; Matthäus Bäbler; Mälardalens universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : Global warming is a significant threat to our planet. Adopting the Paris Agreement is a global action that aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. An extensive deployment of negative emission technologies (NETs) is required to achieve the targets set by the Paris Agreement. LÄS MER
