  1. 1. Exploring textiles as materials for interaction design

    Författare :Anna Persson; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; interaction; design; textiles; materials; Textiles and fashion; Textiles and Fashion General ; Textil och mode generell ;

    Sammanfattning : As computational technology and new materials enter the world of textiles, our view on textile materials is challenged. Textile interaction design suggests a new design space in which the fields of textile design and interaction design are merged. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Moral (de)coupling : moral disengagement and supply chain management

    Författare :David Eriksson; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; abduction; CSR; Corporate Social Responsibility; critical realism; ethics; moral decoupling point; moral disengagement; moral responsibility; supply chain management; sustainability; systematic combining; textile management; TBL; Triple bottom line; Textiles and Fashion General ; Textil och mode generell ;

    Sammanfattning : This research aims to fill an important gap in focusing on why individuals are able to take part in and/or support activities that have effects on economic, environmental, and social dimensions that are not consistent with their sense of right and wrong. The research focuses on the relationship between supply chain management and moral disengagement, and how this relation affects social responsibility. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Designing dynamic textile patterns

    Författare :Linda Worbin; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; smart textiles; textile design; dynamic textile patterns;

    Sammanfattning : Designing Dynamic Textile Patterns Progress in chemistry, fibres and polymers technology provides textile designers with new expressive materials, making it possible to design dynamic textile patterns, where several different expressions are inherent in the same textile, textiles that, for example, could alternate between a striped and checkered pattern. Textiles are traditionally designed and produced to keep a given, static expression during their life cycle; a striped pattern is supposed to keep its stripes. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Relational textiles : surface expressions in space design

    Författare :Delia Dumitrescu; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Smart textiles; Textiles and Fashion General ; Textil och mode generell ;

    Sammanfattning : The emergence of the Smart Textiles field opens possibilities for designers to combine traditional surface fabrication techniques with advanced technology in the design process. The purpose of this work is to develop knowledge on interactive knitted textiles as materials for architecture and to do so through practice-based design research. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Local Fashionalities : Växbo Lin and WomenWeave

    Författare :David Goldsmith; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Slow Fashion; Textiles; Sustainability; Local Fashion; Small Enterprise; Social Enterprise; Design Management; Sustainable Development; Textiles and fashion; Textiles and Fashion General ; Textil och mode generell ;

    Sammanfattning : Global Fashion, via the logic of high-speed, large-scale industrial production and anachronistic high-volume consumption habits, causes significant social and environmental damage. Local Fashion is understood as part of the Slow Fashion movement that aims to change the functions of fashion so that they support or lead the quest to flourish within known human and planetary boundaries.
