  1. 1. The Book of Hours of Johannete Ravenelle and the Parisian Book Illumination Around 1400

    Författare :Eva Lq Sandgren; Susie Nash; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Art history; Illumination of Books and Manuscripts; Miniature Painting; Painting; Gothic; Book Production; Medieval; Artists’ workshops; Illuminators; Books of Hours; Manuscript Design; Art Patronage; Jean de France; duc de Berry; Johannete Ravenelle; late 14th Century; 1390–1410; the Master of BN fr. 159; Uppsala university Library ms UUB C 517e; Petites Heures de Jean de Berry BN lat. 18014 ; Iconography; Konstvetenskap; Art; Konstvetenskap; Konstvetenskap; History of Art;

    Sammanfattning : Within the French book of hours C 517e in the manuscript collection of the University Library in Uppsala, the name of the owner, Johannete Ravenelle, appears in a prayer. Examination of the decoration, miniatures and texts demonstrates that ms C 517e is consistent with Parisian art and books of hours around 1400. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Image Analysis using the Physics of Light Scattering

    Författare :Peter Nillius; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :computer vision; shading; illumination; reflectance; image irradiance;

    Sammanfattning : Any generic computer vision algorithm must be able to copewith the variations in appearance of objects due to differentillumination conditions. While these variations in the shadingof a surface may seem a nuisance, they in fact containinformation about the world. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Efficient Methods for Volumetric Illumination

    Författare :Frida Gyllensvärd; Anders Ynnerman; Anders Persson; Markus Hadwiger; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Modern imaging modalities can generate three-dimensional datasets with a very high detail level. To transfer all the information to the user in an efficient way there is a need for three-dimensional visualization. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Structured Laser Illumination Planar Imaging SLIPI Applications for Spray Diagnostics

    Författare :Elias Kristensson; Förbränningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; signal attenuation; Multiple light scattering suppression; laser extinction; extinction coefficient; structured illumination; Fysicumarkivet A:2012:Kristensson;

    Sammanfattning : Laser sheet imaging, also known as planar laser imaging, is one of the most versatile optical imaging techniques known and is frequently applied in several different domains. It furthermore constitutes the basis for a variety of other 2D methods, in turn allowing visualization of e.g. velocity, particle size, species concentration and temperature. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Colour in Enclosed Space Observation of Colour Phenomena and Development of Methods for Identification of Colour Appearance in Rooms

    Författare :Monica Billger; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; identity colour; simultaneous contrast; illumination; reflections; colour; visual assessments; interiors; adaptation effects; full-scale studies; colour appearance;

    Sammanfattning : The main problems dealt with in this thesis are (1) how colours can appear in rooms due to various colour combinations and lighting conditions, and (2) how we can identify and compare colour appearance in rooms. One aim is to demonstrate and discuss the complex problem of how certain conditions in a room affect colour appearance, and to give examples and describe the co-operation between some of the affecting factors in experimental rooms.
